Thanks for including the losses from Delta as well during your great photo tribute to the tornados of 2010..It has affected everyone from Fulton County as well as Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties....thanks
@jennlee3741 I've covered the photo, I'm very sorry someone took this without your permission. I took it from WTOL the night of the tornado and I apologize for reposting it I was unaware of the circumstances. I wish your family well, as well as you can be during this tragedy at least.
@alaskanmal63 Yes it is one of those big rubbermaid sort of mail boxes. Used fairly often in rural areas cause they keep things dryer and when some random person decides to drive into your mailbox they are more sturdy.
I went over to the field behind the school, and did some volunteer work. I couldnt believe it. You dont realize the damage until you see it. I live about 15 minuets from where this tornado hit, and had a tornado about 1/4 of a mile hit away from my house, but it wasnt to this extent of damage. I feel lucky everyday when I drive by damage, because that could have been me. Everyone who was affected, your in my families thoughts and prayers. <3
this is a very great video it gives you SO much details

I think Lake High school in Ohio School be on Extreme makeover Home Edition because this story is so sad because the High School seniors where set to Graduate on Sunday and One Senior who graduated Top of her Class lost Her Father and it just broke my heart to see her in Tears knowing she did her best in the class room but knowing her father would have been so proud to see her graduate.. I just think we as americans need extreme make over in ohio because High school is just rubble and its sad...
Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know I nominated the school for extreme make over home edition, I would love if any of you could go visit the site on facebook which is linked in the description of this video and just post something under my thread "Ever done a school?" So many amazing stories too many to do just one family so I think the community would be best served by rebuilding the school. Thanks so much if you go and post.

@everquestfan Yeah, I made it at 4am scraping the pictures from the news channels I literally screen shotted some of them off of the live feed and the information and all. @TexTK listen, i know you might think we are lucky that us lake students dont have to go, but the reality is, we all want to go back. I was supposed to be a freshmen this year and now i have to go to northwood, or genoa. Lake High School has been sitting there for almost 70 years
@mikethegamer12 Very true Mike, it would of been devastating for my friends and I to have to be split up our sophomore year. By locality half of us would have gone one way and half the other. That is not what a community hit by tragedy needs. Go post on my Extreme Makeover nomination, ask your friends to as well.
This is really heartbreaking to see. I am so sorry about the loss of life and the terrible destruction. But I really can't understand some of the hateful comments; evidently some people have no empathy for those who have experienced such profound losses.

I was right by Owens CC when this hit. Totally oblivious at the time. Heard the sirens so much throughout my life. I tended to block them out. Not anymore. Feel horrible for the ones lost. RIP.
@youbestbequiet What the fuck is your problem? If you are that miserable, then go kill yourself. Be respectful asshole! Karma will find you Mr Goebbels.
My cousins neighborhood was leveled and if the graduation serimony would have been during the tornado I would be dead because the gym is now a pile of bricks
So Sad what has happened here, I use to live in Genoa, Ohio and my Nieces went to Lake High School.. My Prayers are with the Families ... We had a tornado touch down in Dundee, Michigan the same Night..
@youbestbequiet DAMN!!! You idiot. 7 people have lost their lives to such a tragedy. I lived up in that area for years and now down in Florida! To get the call that this town was destroyed broke my heart! My garndparents live in the town close to the school but thank heavens are ok. I just hope you never have to experience the fear of losing someone dear to you or worried that a name that you knew will pop up on the list of victims. Leave politics out of this and pray you never experience this.
Someone asked me why the fire car is in front of the school. The person from the fire department was driving it when he saw people attempting to seek shelter. He drove them and himself there as it was the closest place and they took shelter in the hall between the cafeteria and the gym, his car was tossed by the tornado.
@youbestbequiet boy, we have a real tragedy on our hands here, and all you can think is "stupid liberals" ? Speaks volumes about who you are.
Here's a thought: work on your apparently rotten character before concerning yourself with things like politics.
And anyway, Ohio's a swing state dumbass... this area happens to lean democratic but not by much. But you probably don't care about that FACT since it interferes with your notions of what Ohio stands for. Less facts more emotions, am I right?!
@hazbutler It wasn't meant as sensationalism. This is saddening. I live just west of Cleveland and the tornado just missed us. I cannot believe that happened to Lake County. I will try to get out there and help as soon as I can. I keep you in my prayers and thoughts.
My thoughts and prayers are with all affected by this. I also live in Lake Township near the police station that was destroyed. I also thank all of those who have been helping those in need at this time. Blessings to all!
I'm so sorry to hear what happened. Your town will more than likely not get national recognition either. Sad but true. I live in Nashville and we had bad flooding and lives lost. Yet the national news didn't really cover it. We are still struggling to rebuild from it. May God bless you and yours. xo
My heart goes out to all of you that were affected by the tornado, I know people in the midwest personally and some will be without power for days the unlucky ones have lost there homes, so sad.
Yeah, I was in between these two rotation cells when they came in, I'm thankful neither storm hit our home. It's like the storm parted away from Bowling Green. Weird.
BTW there are 7 confirmed dead now, and the town of Millsbury is decimated. Lake School is in a state of disrepair. I'm thinking they're going to have to tear it down. I'm glad our school is offering our building for their graduation. :)
So very sad.. I live in Genoa Ohio ~ This hit much too close to home.. Literally ~ Thank you for posting this. I hope you and all your loved ones are safe.
thank you! live in ga and when i awoke to seeing this on facebook from friends I began to worry about my family and my husbands family that is all these areas that were hit. My prayers are deeply with everyone. Freak of nature attacks again. You never know!!!Everyone stay so positive!!! Sorry for those families that lost so many...one was a father of the valavictorian for Lake High School!
ya'know... know that i think about it, i had a dream a few days ago, i was in the lake high school lunch room, and there was really REALLY heaver rain and wind... but, in my dream there was no bad feelings or destruction... just a windo flew open inword (even though its not like that in there...) and i almost got soked...
I made another video please go to my channel post it wherever you can it has the donation information and also the Volunteer address and phone number for operations tomorrow they need every bit of help they can get. If you have time please go out there and help out.
l live in new jersey but know people who live close by this and are so affected by what happened my hearts go out to all of those who are affected by this and to the families who have lost loved ones may god bless you and i want you to know we are thinking of you and prayers being said danielle k
My heart and prayers are with all the families that lost loved ones, families that lost homes, and emergency workers that are doing their best to help.
Our lake high school is gone, also our homes are gone, God Bless family and friends are safe, Our hearts go out to anyone who has lost a loved one in this horrible tradedy.
my house in moline was one of the houses damaged by the storm and my friends dad and other members of our community were not as fortunate as alot of us:(
My son was 2miles from the high school. TG he's okay. My daughter was camping w/ her father and step-mom, out at Maumee Bay Park, and all campers were evacuated to a nearby shelter, w/ the 1st storm that went through. They left b4 the next storm came through. So my daughter is also safe. I just count my blessings that my kids nor any of my family were in the storms' paths. I really like the song u picked for this video u put 2gether. TY. I immediately posted it 2 my FB.
I am related to the Francis family. The devastation is felt beyond the general area of the damage. I live in Kentucky, I have encouraged friends to pray and help in any way possible. I went to Lake for several years as a young child, it breaks my heart to see such devastation, our prayers and thoughts are with all of those affected by the storm.
I was the one who took the picture of the red car last night. It's so chilling to see this kind of damage with your own eyes. It's like walking into the set of a disaster movie. Pray for those who died.
So incredibly sad to watch. My family, too, is just east of here in Graytown. They let me know that they are all OK but the scene and situation just a few miles away from them is of utter devastation and destruction. My condolences go out to all who suffer losses no matter how small or large. Thank goodness this did not hit during graduation at Lake Local High School - that is one thing I think all can count their blessings for.
All the pictures are on my facebook, for some reason I can't link it but if you search by email libbyu@ymail.com or elise.bell.books@gmail.com for my author page.
Wow - you did a great job documenting the damage. Thank you for putting this video together. I'm in C-bus but my family is all up in Walbridge & Graytown. I had no idea what they went through last night.
Thank you for making this! I think that's my co-worker holding her son in front of their trailer at FV at 0:18. They just moved in a couple weeks ago, and had just left the trailer to go to our bosses house.
Im on the fire department and was dispatched around 4 this morning to help with the efforts. I have never seen anything like this in my life. All we can do is pray for the families that have lost loved ones and hope that we do not find anymore. The damage out in the Lake area is extensive but so many were lucky that it missed them.
What a horrible night :( I live about 5-10 east of Millbury in Graytown Ohio, so grateful that this didnt continue its horrible path...god bless to those families that have lost there houses and loved ones
Excellent job. Better than the local news coverage. I live near here and work at the hospital where some of the victims were taken. The damage is truly surreal. You did a fine job of collecting so many images so soon after the event. Thank you.

Excellent job. Better than the local news coverage. I live near here and work at the hospital where some of the victims were taken. The damage is truly surreal. You did a fine job of collecting so many images so soon after the event. Thank you.
