  • Great video. I remember Tornado going up Rattery. It looked great.

  • You have a great eye for something different, in the way of sound and vision these shots are absolutely superb, brilliant piece of film, thank you. Mick. ( Hatherleigh, Devon)

  • @MICKTHEMERC Cheers Mick I try to get each shot as artistic, well caught and as different as possible. Unlike a few certain people wh just do the same old camera technique over and over again, as it just bores people. So I try to capture different aspects of how the scenes look so it captures peoples good reactions.

  • Just the sound alone does it for me......pure magic.

  • lovely good spots

  • Another superb production Ryan in every respect...brilliant camera work and on your home patch, a great choice of locations...5* Bob

  • Cheers Bob, it was a great deal of fun filming these scenes on home ground. Finding locations was tricky but managed to get there.

  • Impressive to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • great video excellent locations nice footage of tornado flying up whiteball

  • Cheers! Found it pretty amazing seeing her going up the summit hauling a near full rake of chocolate and cream stock!

  • Superb video Ryan, great locations, camerawork and sound. The Coombe Fishacre shot takes me back as I filmed there in GW150 year

  • Many thanks Austin! It was fun getting these two on the summits in good weather conditions. I bet the scenery at Coombe Fishacre has changed little since then.

  • Superb video showing the best 2 Main Line performers at the moment. 5 stars from me.

  • Your absolutley right, they are certainly two of the best mainline performers so far! Everyone likes the pair when they're running. 70013 has such an epic sound when I see her tackle Rattery.

  • Great video. V well shot. Love the way you appreciate the combination of vision/ sound.

Phenominal - what engines! The difference between them is superaltive and fantastic. Take your pick which is which. Tornado's blast remarkably sharp for a piston valve engine. Whoever does valve settings brilliant - an unsung hero!

DOG & T double heading 8 would have power to weight ratio good as nearly anything. Would buy an air ticket & pay double fare! If only both could get 90 cert.

    *****

  • I'd love to see 70013 and 71000 double head the Devon banks, bet that would be one of the bestest sights to see in preservation!

  • There'll be another Britannia about before long, with 70000. I wonder if anyone might be able to persuade them to pair them up? That would be something worth seeing too.

  • Absolutely superb, great locations, excellent camera work, excellent sound capture . Both engines in cracking form with the footplate crews making the best of them with steam to spare.

  • Thank you so much! The crews are doing really well with these locos. 70013 being such a brilliant hill climber and 60163 flatening the banks, its a tremendous sight!

  • Just fantastic as usual!!

  • An amazing set of videos mate 5*

  • I enjoyed every minute of that! Thanks for sharing - Frank.
