"Are the Mormons abolitionists? No, unless delivering the people from priestcraft, and the priests from the power of Satan, should be considered abolition. But we do not believe in setting the Negroes free."
Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., History of the Church, v.3, p. 29
"The prophets have declared that there are at least two major stipulations that have to be met before the Negroes will be allowed to possess the Priesthood. The first requirement relates to time. The Negroes will not be allowed to hold the Priesthood during mortality, in fact, not until after the resurrection of all of Adam's children.
@CounterCultureLives "The other stipulation requires that Abel's seed receive the first opportunity of having the priesthood....the last of Adam's children will not be resurrected until the end of the millennium. Therefore, the Negroes will not receive the Priesthood until after that time... this will not happen until after the thousand years of Christ's reign on earth,"
That is true while other churches were prohibiting black people to enter in their buildings. In the past history, The lds church never did it, less nowadays.
When Joseph Smith was asked what advice he would give to a man coming into the Church with 100 slaves, he replied,
"I have always advised such to bring their slaves into a free country and set them free--educate them and give them equal rights" (In Donna Hill, Joseph Smith: The First Mormon, Midvale, Utah: Signature Books, 1977, p. 383)
In context, Joseph Smith didn’t believe the slaves should be freed in the manner proposed by the abolitionists. Joseph made it clear on other occasions that he favored orderly, compensated emancipation. It should also be noted that Joseph felt sympathy and kindness toward slaves and, as mentioned, once helped raise money to free a slave. In fact, in 1843 Joseph voiced support for "national equalization" for slaves, among other things

I don't know why Counter keeps insisting and replying. He even said that I entertain him. I hope he can stop bothering me, and I hope that he gets a life.
He is wasting my time, and he is worst than a young earth creationist.
I have no interest in answering his arguments, against my church.
I can do it, but I won't waste my precious time on that
"Now, let's park the BBT sidestep and get back on topic"
What ever, I won't discuss with him, just hope he can find another hobby.
@CounterCultureLives lol I won't explain to you anything. I rather explain to sincere people. You don't understand the church
Trying to explain to you, would be like trying to explain to a young earth creationist that evolution is a science fact. Its a headache to explain to those people, same with you.
J.S. was not racist, even many critics of the church agree with me on this, don't be so biased.
Enough, just get a life. I won't reply anymore, I only like to debate intellectual critics
@TheSkepticChristian You're the one who started this discourse. You have no substantive answers for the issues I've raised. The postings of our discourse reflect that. I sure hope your understanding of physics exceeds your linguistic skills ;o) ...... but I rather doubt that they do!!
There you go again, with your "young earth creationist" line, attempting to obfuscate the issues. "Evolution"?? We've covered this matter before, SK. I don't reject the theory of evolution.
@CounterCultureLives "I don't reject the theory of evolution." If you can't understand anything that I am saying now, how are you going to understand me, if I debate you??
I didnt say you rejected evolution, I said that you were LIKE Young earth creationist, or worst. Debating them is a headache. Sorry, no offense, but I have no interest in responding. I will just say that you contradict other (and intellectual) critics.
I won't read your response, I will not reply anymore.
@TheSkepticChristian No offense taken, but I'm fascinated by how much time you've spent "ignoring me", "not reading my responses", and "not responding to me!!":o)
Hey, following the "logic" you've displayed here, at 53 y/o, I could quarterback for the 49ers..... but I'm not going to, because I would rather play for a more "sincere" team!! LOL LOL, LOL even harder!!
Methinks you should take your own advice. Quit wasting your time, get your white hat & magic rocks, and go study your physics!!
@dorisfenella LOL?? SkepticChristian has poured a lot of effort into "ignoring me", to the point to following me around on other LDS related Y/T vids. LOL!! He needs to spend more time studying subjects like Logic101, English101, physics, & job hunting.
Regarding LDS's racist history:
"The very fact that God would allow those spirits who were less worthy in the spirit world to partake of a mortal body at all is further evidence of his mercy," (Mormonism and the Negro, part I, p. 48-50).
@dorisfenella "You must not think, from what I say, that I am opposed to slavery. No! The negro is damned, and is to serve his master till God chooses to remove the curse of Ham."
@TheSkepticChristian I'm very curious to know how someone can be a "Young Earth creationist" without accepting The Book of Genesis in it's most literal form. You already know that I'm not a Christian, so I look foreword to learning of your path roads of logic and reason on this one, Oh, Wise One!!
@TheSkepticChristian "Are the Mormons abolitionists? No, unless delivering the people from priestcraft, and the priests from the power of Satan, should be considered abolition. But we do not believe in setting the Negroes free."
Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., History of the Church, v.3, p. 29
As the infamous "Rickey Riccardo" of "I Love Lucy" fame would say, "How do you 'splain dat??"
@TheSkepticChristian I'll gladly stop bothering you!! ......... just as soon as you explain the contradictions between LDS writings and teachings, and your denial of LDS's claims that there was a "curse" placed upon black people.
Whine and complain all you want, young man; I won't stop replying until you do. I have many more racist quotes from LDS leaders available for posting!!
Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be.
JofD10:110
Brigham Young stated that his sermons ARE SCRIPTURE!!
"I have NEVER YET PREACHED A SERMON and sent it out to the children of man, that they MAY NOT CALL Scripture."
Trace mankind down to after the flood, and then another cursed is pronounced upon the same race--that they should be the "servants of servants;" and they will be until that curse is removed; and the Abolitionists cannot help it, nor in the least alter that decree.
You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. . . . Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which was the flat nose and black skin. Journal of Discourses, 7:290
There were no neutrals in the war in Heaven. All took sides either with Christ or with Satan. Every man had his agency there, and men receive rewards here based upon their actions there, just as they will receive rewards hereafter for deeds done in the body. The Negro, evidently, is receiving the reward he merits. Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 1:61, 65-66
There is a reason why one man is born black and with other disadvantages, while another is born white with great advantages. The reason is that we once had an estate before we came here, and were obedient; more or less, to the laws that were given us there. Those who were faithful in all things there [pre-existence] received greater blessings here, and those who were not faithful received less. . . . Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 1:61, 65-66
Alma 3: 6 "And the skins of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion against their brethren, who consisted of Nephi, Jacob, and Joseph, and Sam, who were just and holy men."
@TheSkepticChristian Looking at your postings, feeble minded replies, and redundancy, you sure spend quite a bit of time "not wasting your time here on YouTube" I had no clue that ignoring someone required so much time!! ;o)
Anyway, good luck with your physics!! As for "studying" physics?? DUDE!! You're a MORmON!! All you need is a white hat and some magic rocks!!! LOLOLOLOL!!
@TheSkepticChristian Once again, you make my points for me, and talk is still cheap. Now, get your white hat and your magic rocks, and go study your physics. You've wasted quite a bit of time "ignoring me". ;o)
@CounterCultureLives That's a straw man. The Big Bang seems magical, but its a science fact. I think puting the face, in a hat, with rocks inside is something very cool. I really don't want to waste my time debating you, and Physics is cool!
Why would I want to respond to the issues you bring up?? I an not interested in responding to your copy and paste, I would rather answer to a sincere person, interested in my perspective.
@TheSkepticChristian Actally, The BBT is NOT "magical"; it is supported by the laws of physics and chemistry. Staring at magic rocks in a hat?? Cool!! So is gazing into a crystal ball. ;o) As for the rest of your drivel?? Keep posting!! What you lack in substance, you more than make up for in entertainment value!!
Seriously, SK, "therflo13" has either not been monitoring this thread, or else he's been very gracious to both of us. Let's either get back on track or say goodbye.
@CounterCultureLives I never said that the Big Bang was magical, I said it appeared to be magical, but I didn't say it was magical. Big Bang, is a science fact that I accept. However, you cannot make a scientific statement before the plank time. Anyways, just because you don't understand how stuff works, dosen't mean its magic.
You remind me of young earth creationists, debating you is like debating a young earth creationist. So I would rather not debate you, good bye. please don't reply
@TheSkepticChristian You remind me of someone who follows a "prophet" who stares at magic rocks in a hat. The BBT does NOT "seem magical" or "appear to be magical" if you understand physics and chemistry. I didn't earn two degrees in two different sciences by "not knowing how stuff works", SK!! Once again, your mystical powers of discernment have failed you.
So, you'd rather not debate?? Little wonder. Now, let's park the BBT sidestep and get back on topic.
@CounterCultureLives Big Bang sounds magical, but its not magical. Same logic you are using, a straw man. Just because you don't understand something, dosen't mean its magical. the BBT is a scienc fact, however all the equations collapse during the plank time, so it could be magical after all. Science so far, cannot make a statement about the BB, before the plank time.
I understand science, you don't.
Many years ago, the BB was rejected by scientists because it sounded like magic
again, I can respond to every issue, but I won't do it if its not a sincere question. Nor with someone like Counter, you just likes to copy and paste.
Well Bye dude, I hope you get a life. Sincerly, you should do other things.
Nothing has failed me, I can defend my position, but I am not going to do it with someone that has some prejudice against my beliefs.
he has not real motives to be doing this, other than wasting his time. Does he want to destroy my church or something?
I do challenge his motives. He would then say, that its my tactic, and that I want to ignore issues (but I am already aware of all thecriticism), so I don't ignore anything.
But I hope he gets a life, and stop wasting so much time.
@TheSkepticChristian You claim that you can defend your position; talk is cheap. I've raised specific issues, but you keep attempting to sidestep the points. Now, you're reduced to doing The LDS Sidestep.
@CounterCultureLives Listen, I am not interested in having a debate with you, of course I can go over specific issues, of course I can defend my position, but I am not going to waste my time here in Youtube, I have to prepare for my Physics classes, instead.
You are not interested in my interpretations, and perspective anyways.
Bytheway, you can keep accusing me of making ad hominem arguments, but that is not going to change the fact that you have no real reasons to be doing this.
@TheSkepticChristian If you're not interested in having a debate, (and it's obvious that you are incapable of sustaining one!!) then find something else to do..... a temple calling, genealogy, etc.
Your feeble rebuttals, your trolling of my profile page, and your persistent, lame, repetitious "I could debate you but I don't want to!" postings have gotten quite old. Your attempts at censorship are in keeping with the ways of LDS.
“ To the shame and confusion of all who HAVE CRIED OUT against the South, in consequence of their holding the sons of Ham in SERVITUDE.... I can say, the CURSE IS NOT YET TAKEN OFF FROM THE SONS OF CANAAN, neither will be until it is affected by as great a power as caused it to come; and the people who INTERFERE THE LEAST WITH THE PURPOSES OF GOD in this matter, will come under the LEAST CONDEMNATION BEFORE HIM; …(History of the Church, by Joseph Smith, Vol. 2, pages 436-438)
I never said that I wanted to punch him, but I told him if I wasn't a Christian.
Anyways, I am just going to ignore Counter, since he is not listening to anything that I am saying. I hope he spends more time with his wife, than here in Youtube talk bad about my religious beliefs.
@TheSkepticChristian I haven't "spammed" at all. Now thay you've run out of gas, you are reduced to attempting to have me censored. Perhaps you might spend your rime more productively offering arguments based in substance; arguments that will withstand critical scrutiny. All very typical Mormon tactics. Now, do you have anything of substance to offer?? Care to defend your "taken out of context" excuse with sustainable, verifiable FACTS??
@TheSkepticChristian So, now we'vew sidestepped the "taken out of context" excuse with the "not doctrinal" excuse. Since this so-called "curse" was "not doctrinal, then why were "the blacks" (as Mormons refer to black people) denied the LDS Priesthood until 1978?? Considering that this was "not doctrinal", then there was no need to exclude black people from the LDS priesthood, was there??
@TheSkepticChristian So, now we've digressed from "taken out of context", to "not doctrinal", to "it doesn't matter"??
Now, with the weakness of your arguments exposed, your erroneous "spiritual discernments" exposed, your inability to explain why black people were denied the LDS priesthood if there was no curse, you attempt to have me censored, and now you are reduced to "wanting to punch me??
@TheSkepticChristian SK has chosen to deal with my dissenting opinions through censorship. Just like "Mormonanswerman" and LDS as an institution, dissenting opinions are censored.
When facts and substance failed him, just as "Mormonanswerman" did, SK attempted doing the LDS Sidestep, then began challenging my motives. That failed, so he resorted to petty insults.
He posted on my channel, and although his comments were shallow, I have not blocked him.
@CounterCultureLives Here are the facts, you quoted 2 Ne 5 out of context, read vs 20 for context. In vs. 20 you will find what the curse was, and dont' think you know more about the BofM, because you don't.
Every anti-mormon thinks he knows more.
Again, I don't reallly care what early leaders said about blacks.
@TheSkepticChristian I'm sure I do annoy you. Given the falacy of your statements, that's of little wonder. If I bother you so much, then prove that the writings and teachings of LDS, PGP, and Journal of Discourses are "taken out of context", rather than simply repeating that worn out LDS mantra.
FACTS?? Substance?? Sorry to "annoy you", (NOT!!) I'm still waiting!!
If there was NO CURSE, then WHY did your "one true church" DENY the LDS priesthood to black people??
@CounterCultureLives I did not say that you quoted leaders, or JoD out of context. WOW due, I said you quoted 2 Ne 5, out of context!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But like I said I don't care what early leaders said. Now leave me alone. Freak. It dosen't matter if they didnt' receieve the priesthood, I see no issue to what you are saying. You just are so obssed!! Get a life!!! Stop botheing me!!! Facts: Joseph Smith was not racist, and against slavery!! I read it in a anti website
@TheSkepticChristian So, then, the statements in the LDS Journal of Discourses" were NOT "taken out of context"?? Dude, you're all over the map now. I don't care how much I "bother you", I'm not going away. So, cowboy up and either provide substantive evidence to prove your claims, or keep whining like a little boy. You started this discourse with me, so grow up, act like a man, and quit whining.
@TheSkepticChristian THE CHILDREN OF CAIN CANNOT RECEIVE THE FIRST ORDINANCES OF THE PRIESTHOOD. They were the first that were cursed, and they will be the last from whom the curse will be removed. When the residue of the family of Adam come up and receive their blessings, then the curse will be removed from the seed of Cain, and they will receive blessings in like proportion." "Ex.21:20-21 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property. (NIV)"
BofM:
"not our slaves, but our brethren and partners, 3 Ne. 3:7"
"Enos 1:11 my faith began to be unshaken in the Lord; and I prayed unto him with many long strugglings for my brethren, the Lamanites"
BoM teaches: "[God] denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile" (2 Nephi 26:33)
OT
Lev 25:44-46 (NLT): "However, you may purchase male and female slaves from among the nations around you. You may also purchase the CHILDREN of temporary residents...You may treat them as your property...but you must never treat your fellow Israelites this way"
@TheSkepticChristian So, "[God] denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female", yet until 1978, the Mormon "God" loved all people, black and white......... and separately but equally, of course!!
As for the Biblical quotes?? Take those up with a Christian.
@CounterCultureLives JS was not racist, he was against slavery. Yet black skin was never a curse, the idea was based on a (i believe) mistaken interpretation of scripture. However, Most LDS never felt superior to black people before 1978.
You have a lot of faith that all reality has a natural explanation. Science does not explain why the laws of nature exist, nor the 96% of the universe, and yet you have a lot of faith nature "did it" all reality.
@TheSkepticChristian If black skin was never a curse, then there was no reason to deny black people the LDS priesthood. So much for the "One True Church" claim.
@CounterCultureLives sorry that I though you were an atheist, BUT you also need to stop being too judgemental. To be honest, you don't understand the LDS church. Of course its perfect since it has the Gospel, and the Authority.
It dosen't matter if blacks didn't receieve the priesthood before 1978, they will receieve it in the millenium (that's what most LDS believe).
The church is perfect, but members are not perfect, no one is perfect in this world.
@TheSkepticChristian I find it rather ironic that you should tell me to "stop judging too much"....... AFTER you incorrectly judged me to be an atheist!! ;o)
@TheSkepticChristian No, you SET the example of being too judgmental. My claims are completely supported by LDS scripture and those of LDS leaders.
Do you deny that Noah's son was made black so that Satan could have representation on Earth?? If so, you are in conflict with LDS's teachings. So, either LDS's teachings are wrong, or else you are.
@TheSkepticChristian Mormons embraces the words and teachings of LDS'a leaders when it suits their needs, then attempt to sidestep them by divorcing themselves from those teachings when they prove to be problematic. That's why the phrases "not doctrinal" and "taken out of context" are such common refrains in LDS. It's just more shuffling of the conch shells in "The Mormon Truth Shell Game".
You claims of erroneous interpretation of LDS scripture are belied by LDS's own leaders.
@TheSkepticChristian Now that the weakness of your arguments have been exposed, you're reduced to challenging my motives and telling me to go away. As for YouTube "getting me dates"?? Once again, your powers of discernment are as flawed as your church's leaders. 25 years of marraige, and I'm trying to get a date?? Where did that come from. Doin' the LDS Sidestep, are you?? "Get a life" exemplifies that you are now reduced to ambiguous, personal attacks. That's a quite common tactic in LDS.
@CounterCultureLives I can refute everything you say, I know far more than you about my own church's history, and I understand the scriptures. I am tired of debating prejudice people like you, that don't even know what they are talking about. You have problems, get help, and get a life.
No, black skin was never Satan representation of Earth, it was the mistake of an early LDS leader who said that, but we forgive him.
@TheSkepticChristian "You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. @TheSkepticChristian "How long is that race to endure the dreadful curse that is upon them? That curse will remain upon them, and they never can hold the Priesthood or share in it until all the other descendants of Adam have received the promises and enjoyed the blessings of the Priesthood and the keys thereof.
LDS Urinal of Discourses 26vol 7 President Bring'um Young
@TheSkepticChristian "Until the last ones of the residue of Adam's children are brought up to that favourable position, the children of Cain cannot receive the first ordinances of the Priesthood. They were the first that were cursed, and they will be the last from whom the curse will be removed. When the residue of the family of Adam come up and receive their blessings, then the curse will be removed from the seed of Cain, and they will receive blessings in like proportion."
@TheSkepticChristian 2 Nephi 5:21-23: "And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them."
@CounterCultureLives Ha you ignorant spammer, you are quoting 2 Nephi 5:21-23 about of context. The curse is mentioned in vs20. READ vs20!!!!!!!!!! You dont' know more about the Book of Mormon than me, and I understand it. You are interpreting it the wrong way.

@TheSkepticChristian If you can't take the heat, then get out of the kitchen. My postings clearly discredit you. There are plenty of other racist comments by LDS leaders and from LDS writings and teachings that I can (and will!!) post if you persist in your denials.
Your Mormon arrogance, along with your little cyber-meltdown, are all so common amongst Mormons.
You don't control this thread, nor do you control me.
@TheSkepticChristian So, here we goagain with the over-used Mormon refrain of "taken out of context". Heard that cop-out too many times from too many Mormons. The words and writings of your church's leaders and writings clearly show that nothing was "taken out of context". Seriously, SC, can't you come up with a more creative (and believable) excuse??
@TheSkepticChristian Nothing was "out of context". That's over-used Mormon refrain fails critical scrutiny. If my postings bother you, then tough toodles. No one forces you to reply, but YOUR posting do help people investigating LDS, including potential converts, to see the truth behind the facade of LDS.
Mormons throw out the "taken out of context" excuse over and over again when they get snagged in their webs of deceit, but they never offer any substantive evidence to support their claims.
Dude, WHO is writing your material?? Once again, your "powers of spiritual discernment" are flawed as always. First, you call me an atheist. I'm not one. Then, you tell me "not to be judgmental"..... after you incorrectly judged me to be an atheist. Now, I've gone from being an atheist to being a street preacher?? Just how have you concluded that I don't believe in evolution?? WHAT gave you that notion??
The Book of Mormon teaches that black skin is a sign of God’s curse, so that white-skinned people are considered morally and spiritually superior to black skinned people (2 Nephi 5:21). In contrast, the Bible teaches that God "made of one blood all nations of men" (Acts 17:26, KJV), that in Christ distinctions of ethnicity, gender and social class are erased (Galatians 3:28), and that God condemns favoritism (James 2:1).
Galatians 3:26-29; 26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
@therflo13 I am So glad you made this video! This video can clear up alot of misconception about mormon racism. Since there is not much that i can do for you, i will just like and subscribe.
Boy YOU sure do turn things around to suit yourself. Who said I was a Mormon? Who said I was a "he"? I didn't neglect ANYTHING.....And I didn't lie about anything. It is good to see blacks in the LDS church...
@Cheshu1 What the course was is explain in the previous verse. White and delightsome was not talking about the skin, 4 Ne. 1:10; Morm. 9:6. White is a symbol of purity in this verse. "skin of blackness to come upon them" because it was a sign, of course they would get black skin after mixing with black people, but black skin was NOT a curse. The curse is to be out of God's presence.
@TheTine123 Was joseph smith a freemason? What do freemasons believe? You come in here with your weak arguments, which only proves your brainwashing, and conditioning. You are clearly unarmed to be able to battle wits with me. I grew up very strong in scripture and education. I've studied the mormon religion and others aboard. Learn more, and come with a better argument, but I'll supply the answer that you can't. Argument? Name calling, I assume as a rebuttal.
@TheTine123 Right. Look at your sentence structure and how you form your words together. Education? My education extends beyond what your feeble mind can comprehend. Phony of what? I have scholastic education and know from first hand experience. A liar? Pure fallacies! “And the skins of the Lamanites were DARK, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which WAS A CURSE upon them because of their transgression...” (Book of Mormon, page 201, Alma 3, verse 6)
Your brainwashed. And I suppose Joseph Smith wasn't a lucifer worshiping freemason either? Not all mormons are racist, just like not all people are racist, but the teachings go back to racism, and racist beliefs, along with cult beliefs from masons that happened to be infused into the religion. Being black means nothing. I know blacks that are racist against their own skin. You need to study more, but you probably love them no matter what.
I was mormon for many years, and I had a similar discourse as you... I'm sure after this clip you became more popular in church.
ps: in Brazil before the 1978 the missionaries had a hard time there because most of the people were mixed race. That's why the church started in the south were most of people were of German descent. peace.
Black people did not experience the harsh racism as did in the US? What movie is he watching. Fcuk! they enslaved us then strung us up and those of us they could not put their hands on they made sure we did not eat have medication and even then the hunted us like wild animal. We became an endangered specie Morman
Why is everyone hating on this video? It is the TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH... For everyone has no clue what mormons are, unless they ARE mormons...
WHAT Black ppl were part of many different churchs while Joseph Smith was a twinkle in his great grandpa's balls. Everything you are saying is a LIE. Too bad your not white and delightful as mormon scripture says. But seriously, who wears the mark of Cain?
So how do you respond to mormons who say that the mark of Cain is black skin? And that black people came through the flood of Noah so satan had representative's on earth. Or if a white mormon mixed his seed with a negro then the punishment is death. All these things and more said by high upstanding mormons. I want to know because I would feel a little bad joining an organisation who thought this way up to 1978. It can't be denied. It was said and preached.
If My church is so racist then why do we have black priesthood officers? Why do we support black families? Why black people get married in the Temples from all over the world? Explain to me why all the other comments on this page is such LIES about a religon that they don't even know.
I am black and I know that my church is not racist by any chance... I mean come on, the Aaronic Priesthood accepts all men and the Melchizdek too. Why do you think there are BLACK MISSIONAIRES? Hello! Nevertheless, why would we lie about anything what would we gain from it?
Glad you stood up for your god when is he gonna do it for you? Mormons DO NOT see everyone as equals ask a homosexual not trying to be rude but its true
If Mormons are not racist, they are not holding true to their doctrine. What is the point of being a fake Mormon? Ditch the heretical book of Mormon and get to know the real Christ.
The bottom line is that you only want to be accepted by white people or mormons. You know deep down in your soul that its true. YHWH will not accept you in his kingdom because you put man before YAH. The ancient Hebrews were cast away from YAH because they wanted to be like other nations and not follow what YAH told them to do. May YAH have mercy on your soul!
Shut UpMormon are racist I almost get Brainwash by one. Ur sad kid God My lord made everyone equal. Fuck the Book of Mormon.I got my Book The Holy Bible. Plus You White Mormon cant date Black peolpe .And i love white guy. It Unfair that they call us.You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable, sad, low in their habits, wild, and seemingly without the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind.
@Romiette3 i Spell Mormon wrong sorry. Any luv my Color (Black) And white and boy from differnt color i dont really date black dude. I use to a Mormon Church u black peolpe cant date white peolpe so mess up
why are all black mormons so insecure? and deep down into there subconscious, into the very depths of the core of their soul, do not appreciate the color of their skin, which guards them from the sun. that aspect of the religion was specifically designed for that. the religion was founded in a time of oppression of blacks, a time when blacks were limited from doing anything in this country, im almost positive that the same restrain was in full effect when the first black (token) was welcomed.
"black brother" my mind is just as open as your bung hole seems to be.. as far as security, let me tell you something, ill out shine you and strip you of any spot light you think you may have. defensive? yeah man i guess iam a little jealous, jealous for you, like Christ the most high is jealous for you. your passionate deep rooted hatred for Christianity and its teachings has probably developed from the conviction you feel for being gay. get outta here wusspuss. you want the last word? its urs
@selenadelos your still refering to the old testament? and on top of that you generalize? and you speak with such intellect.. but wheres the wisdom or discernment? theres more to it then just the surface your stuck on. this walk isn't for the week and sensitive anyway, you chose the easy way out. i dont converse with the week and timid, this worlds to cold and dark for all that. God Bless BLACK BROTHER.
@selenadelos nervous laugh? look if you read the bible then you'd know that Cain wasn't cursed with dark skin, Cain was curse with a mark on his forehead. this world is messed up dude, its been messed up since forever... everything you have mentioned is still going on today. the bible actually praises women, it asks me to love my wife like i love the church, and lord knows i wanna be INSIDE the church at all times. and what about the new testament, is that sickening? its LOVE from cover 2 cover
Is it all about money? Because of the 10% mormons are willing to do a lot of pr work.

"Are the Mormons abolitionists? No, unless delivering the people from priestcraft, and the priests from the power of Satan, should be considered abolition. But we do not believe in setting the Negroes free."

(The Church and the Negro, 1967, p. 45-48).
CounterCultureLives 3 months ago
@CounterCultureLives "The other stipulation requires that Abel's seed receive the first opportunity of having the priesthood....the last of Adam's children will not be resurrected until the end of the millennium.

@CounterCultureLives I never said that the Big Bang was magical, I said it appeared to be magical, but I didn't say it was magical. Big Bang, is a science fact that I accept. @TheSkepticChristian You remind me of someone who follows a "prophet" who stares at magic rocks in a hat.

Science does not explain why the laws of nature exist, nor the 96% of the universe, and yet you have a lot of faith nature "did it" all reality.
why positive atheism??

Do you deny that Noah's son was made black so that Satan could have representation on Earth?? If so, you are in conflict with LDS's teachings. So, either LDS's teachings are wrong, or else you are.

@CounterCultureLives no, I am just using your own logic.
Of course I didn't know if you were an atheist or not, but I was just following your example of being too judgemental.

Please explain.

I want to know because I would feel a little bad joining an organisation who thought this way up to 1978. It can't be denied. It was said and preached.

May YAH have mercy on your soul!

why are all black mormons so insecure? and deep down into there subconscious, into the very depths of the core of their soul, do not appreciate the color of their skin, which guards them from the sun. that aspect of the religion was specifically designed for that. the religion was founded in a time of oppression of blacks, a time when blacks were limited from doing anything in this country, im almost positive that the same restrain was in full effect when the first black (token) was welcomed.
