Well now that we passed this piece of socialistic crap how about investigating the matter. Call Pelosi @ (202) 225-0100 & demand a Congressional hearing investigating the mismanagement of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Tell her you want answers from Barney Frank and Chuck Schumer. Ask her why Franklin Raines and James Johnson were allowed to cook FM books enron style without being held accountable. Ask her why her democratic party refused reform of these entities in exchange for campaign donations.

Yeah! While Congress was controlled by the GOP from 1995 through 2005, slapping down the Dems and passing corporate welfare and deregulation at the behest of Jack Abramoff and the rest of K-Street, Barney Frank stands alone. Somehow, this minority congressman snuck through deregulation for Fannie/Freddie when the GOP didn't want to! He's a traitor! (Not).

It wasnt deregulation that was the problem. It was a bad REGULATION established by dems that caused this. For 5 years Frank has been stating in congress that FM was financially stable, and for 5 years he refused reform. He is either incompetent or unethical letting campaign contributions sway him. Either way he needs to step down as chair of the Financial Services Committee. A $700 trillion bailout deserves a hearing to weed out incompetence, bad ethics, and prevent it from occuring again.

As Nancy touted, this is a bi-partisan bill. Looking at the roll call.. BOTH the dems and the gop voted for this bill. BOTH parties are to blame.  Vote all 'ayes' OUT! We the people wrote in, called, faxed, and email'd to VOTE NO and we were ignored. If they won't listen to their constituents, then they have no business being on the hill. Cindy Sheehan is running against Pelosi. I've defended Nancy for so long about not calling for impeachment. NO MORE! GO CINDY!

The bill is bipartisan, the reasons this occured is not so much. I agree anyone who voted for this socialism needs the boot regardless of party. We still need hearings on this. Where was the oversight? Why was reform shot down?
