Aehm... One Question: What is the highest amount of Octane Gas you get in the US at normal stations? I'm asking, because, the lowest you get in switzerland is 95 - then 98 and 100, and i've seen now a few vids, where they allways talking about 91/92/94 octane.

Jet fuel...JP4 is NOT diesel. Mix jet fuel with gasoline and it will separate like water and oil. Try to run jet fuel straight in a gasoline motor...the motor dies

Avgas is only 100 octane and has a ton of lead in it. It may say low lead on the truck but trust me it has a lot. Also, piston aircraft are designed to run for extended periods of time at low rpm, usually below 4000. Avgas is a real bonehead move in a performance car because it's not intended to have a fast flame front travel and therfore will not perform at high rpm.

And finally...the final BULLSHIT...its 100LL. the LL stands for Low Lead and piston aircraft do NOT...repeat this...DO NOT turn ANYWHERE near 4000 rpm. I have a turbo 210 with a 540 Lycoming making 350 horsepower and its MAX rpm is 2800. Stick to your kite flying because you dont know DICK about an airplane engine.

last time I checked jet fuel is basically a kerosene blend thats much higher than 94 octane.. hell if I remember right you can buy 97 octane premium at chevron.. (our podunk other gas staion actually sells 110 octane race gas too lol)

There are different ways of measuring octane. One is Reseach octane which is a higher number, and the other is Motor octane. I think it has to do with the heat used in testing. Not sure. Here in the states we take an average of the two. Regular gas is 87, and super is 91-93 depending on what state you're in. Anything over 100 is race gas. Basically just 2 different ways to measure the same thing. That screws a lot of people up.

Yea, just commenting on the jet fuel thing, i see that you were kidding, but we've got a '69 charger with a rebuilt 425 hemi with all new titanium valves...  compression 11.5:1, 4 barrel carb, took the catalytic converter out and now we're running leaded octane 112 thorugh it, AKA CAM-2... you can tell i'm no environmentalist!!!

first of all i work with jet fuel.. and i know cars. What you have is a high octane fuel .... most likely aviators gas. Jet fuel, has a very low octane level and a high flash point. Get your facts right
