As a prog lyricist myself, I've written lyrics from the point of view of the devil and several other questionable or offensive people just to get the right point across.

Incorrect...it's actually really obvious...not even debatable if you just listen to the song. If you have a cd they had probably changed the printed lyrics at that point...but it's obviously "black man". It's not really important but it sounds a lot better than "bad man"....that would just sound stupid.
