@mic06007 Not saying its week, but compare to those two calibers i just listed, it is week, considering that they are both higher caliber, and have more grains that the 357. 357 = 125 grain, 44 magnum 240 grain, and 500 s&w = 700 grain. You do the math.
@warblaster82 no shit larger caliber has heavier grain sluggs. a .357 magnum is loaded to extremely high pressures compared to any handgun round, an he is shooting .38 specials in this video anyway.
@luis545x39 That's not exactly a good logic. .40 S&W and .45 ACP were both designed for handguns, and .40 has notably higher muzzle velocity, but .50 BMG is a machine gun cartridge whereas 5.56 is for assault rifles. The .416 Barret is more powerful than .50 BMG, and it was designed for machine guns too.
@mustangfootball63 Ok, I couldn't understand half of what you said. What does "it's not week it's week" mean? I also said "Not saying its week, but compare to those two calibers i just listed, it is week". I dont know maybe you can read. I dont know why so many people glorify the 357. Maybe because it was the first magnum cartridge? And how does making a factual statement make me stupid?
Target loads.

@getdatfeddi
True.
Max.pressure for 44 magnum is: 36,000 psi.
Max. pressure for .357 is: 44,000 psi.
Many people think the .45 ACP is so fantastically wonderful.
Big bullet, yes.
Max. pressure for that one is 22,000 psi, and the velocity almost half of the 357
357 for President!

@Antarath Well, 45 ACP is REALLY old, so even .40 is more powerful.

@Murukku47 WTF ok did you knew that 50bmg has been around since 1921 and 5.56 has been around since 1964 so is 5.56 more "powerful" than 50 bmg?

@Murukku47 i know but that wasnt my point my point was that the effectiveness or stopping power doesnt doesnt depend on the year it was desinged
luis545x39 10 months ago
