  • 0:48 I love how they zoom in on "the Joe Gibbs Racing shop in North Carolina" but they are actually zooming in on somewhere on the coast of Virginia. JGR is in Thomasville NC, pretty damn far away from that.

  • Isn't it very dangerous throwing around 20 lug nuts per car through pit lane? I'm not very familiar with nascar tracks but pit lanes aren't that much secured from the straight, right? I mean a peace of metal being blown up into the air by cars at full speed? NOT FUNNY! Just remember what power had the small peace which hit massa in F1. Oo

  • @Flo2806 well they just bounce around a few feet from the car, and nascars have roofs and windsheilds so i dont think thats aproblem:P

  • @dobakito44 For the drivers maybe, but for the pit Crews without helmets?

  • fucking shit these guys change tyres AND refuel on 13 secs, while it takes like 13 hours with me, my dad and my uncle to change it...

  • Announcer said, Kyle set a record in 2008 for most wins in a NASCAR season? Not likely. 27 wins in a season for Petty, and Modern era record, 13, Jeff Gordon. Kyle only had 8 that year.

  • @bluegrassboy2448 yeah and Edwards had 9 wins that same year!!

  • kyle only wins because of his very talented TEAM >kyle

  • kill bush is a dick head hope he gets fired

  • Why didn't they use the center lock wheels ?

    like Formula One.

  • @maybach300c that would be good, but it would take a part of the "stock" car racing.

  • Kyle busch with a record in most wins in a season? Ummm in 1998 Jeff Gordon had 13 and before the modern era (1972-present) Richard Petty had 27. Once again idiots try to sound smart about something they couldn't even find time to research.

  • @ihatefairys17 he had the most OVERALL wins, Sprintcup, Nationwide and trucks. They never said nascar "sprint cup", they said NASCAR...

  • fktheworld2 well most dumb ass americans who are tire changers comes from many different sports.....football...soccer...etc....

  • for god sakes tire changers r not atheletes they r mechanic u dum ass americans

  • @fktheworld2 they are more athletic than a cricket player, so i guess they are kinda athletes. im sure they know how to spell athletes as well.

  • @fktheworld2 oh and shut your fucking mouth you crooked toothed no rights having British bastard.

  • @fktheworld2 Fuck you. Get your head out of your ass. They come from other sports, so they are ATHLETES. Learn to spell dick fuck.

  • How in the hell do they get the lug nuts on the new wheel that fast?

  • No sports announcer has ever tired to look so badass just standing in front of a car.

  • 2:00 editor didn't do a great job on grammer... best is the best. cant go bestest...

  • NASCAR IS THE BEST!!!!

  • @02bastardo i think f1 is better

  • lol, NASCAr is most retarded motorsport ever. that explains why so many americans like it

  • @SilvrBckGorilla

People like you are so aggravating. Why can't you just learn to appreciate the various forms of motor sports out there without trying to compare them, or introduce some half-assed social commentary? I watch F1, ALMS, WRC, and am starting to get into NASCAR. Each of these different sports have their own challenges, and are a different viewing experience for the audience. People like you aren't passionate racing enthusiasts, It's always the fans and not the racers bullshitting.

  • @opmike343

    well said

  • @opmike343 I agree with you but It's not going to change anything about how the haters think. Its the whole I must be right and your wrong mentality. There is no compromising or understanding. Just being right is what they care about. It's thinking like that, that has this world so screwed up right now...

  • @SilvrBckGorilla well cricket is retarded to, that explains the brits now doesnt it!

  • SOOOOOOOOO CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @chuchu2301 If you don´t like nascar why do you watch videos about nascar??

  • 1:04 What the hell are they talking about? He won 8 races that year, the record is like 13 or 14. Fucking idiots. Don't even research the sport.

  • @normalboy64 Its even worse, because in 2008 the year they are talking about he didn’t even win the most races that SEASON. Let alone the entire history of NASCAR. Carl Edwards won 9.

  • It's actually weather stripping. Silicone. Works like glue, but stretches.

  • how do they set all the nuts to screw back in?

  • Comment removed

  • @kedharf1 I don't think anyone could have made that sound stupider than you. I bet you couldn't accomplish half of what these guys have. F1 is a great sport, but ignorant people like you make it harder for me to like it.

  • The nuts are held on by adhesive. All the wheels are glued up before the race and ready to put on during a stop. The nuts coming off fly everywhere, then they are swept up after the stop is over and the car is out of the pit stall.

  • F1 pit stop in 2010 : 3.5 seconds

F1 pit crews have 18+ people diving on to the car on any given pit stop

  • @TheBbergner86 and the wheels have just one giant bolt instead of like 5 small ones

  • this is nothing compared to f1.

  • @UKsniper4 f1 has 1 but lug in the center of the hub a automatic jack under the middle of the car, these guys have pretty much the same tools you got in your garage and 5 lugs per tire obviously they have to be much better

  • @sstroh08 f1 doesnt have an automatic jack, i think you are thinking of DTM pneumatic jacks

  • @NorbPwn lol idk rly, i was just trying to point out to the guy that was dissing nascar that in f1 and irl a centeralized jack lifts the whole thing and there sonly 1 to take off, in nascar they do it the old fashioned style with a shop jack and 5 lug nuts

  • Formula One does the same thing in 4.0 seconds....big whoop!

  • @Kal99 With 3 times more people and, 5 times less nuts, and far better technology. An F1 pit stop is an impressive thing because of how beautifully refined the process is, however a NASCAR pit stop is stunning from a physical and accuracy aspect.

  • @Kal99

F1 team is 10 guys, 4 tire changers, 4 tire carriers (placers0, fuel man, and air hose man (Jack man). The car lifts straight up and all; 4 tires are changed at the same time, and they each have juts one big hub lug.

No comparison to a Nascar pit crew.

  • @mdf123456789 Usually 4 gunners, 8 carriers 2 jack men with manual lifts & lolly pop man. Sometimes rad cleaners.

  • @Kal99 Yes, but they are about 21 person around the car! In Nascar, it's maximum 7 and next year, it's going to be 6!

  • They release the screws of the tire.

And then how do they fix the screws back ??

  • @maybach300c screws?...you mean lug nuts right? well they lightly glue them on the tire before they bring them over the wall thats how

  • @willmac81 Thnxs, been wanting to know

  • @maybach300c I wanna know the same fucking thing, he doesnt even bother trying to catch the nuts when the wheel is being taken off. Where do the five new nuts come from when the new wheel is slipped on??????????? Surely he should try to be catching the nuts rather than leaving them fall onto the ground still spinning?

  • @workshop77777 Lug nuts on a race rim are basically held on using a little metal spring that holds it in place in front of the lug holes, pretty slick pretty much a one time use deal if you have to depend on them like these guys do

  • @blowingsmoke ah rite ok, so the little springs basically allign the nut so when he pushes the new wheel on, the nuts are ready to be threaded on by the gun immediately as apposed to the mechanic having to thread each nut on one or two turns to hold it in place before he hits em with the gun
