All I'm saying is that the piece has several passages where the music "lays under the hand" very nicely, or was clearly born out of an improvisation, written at the keyboard and not away from it.... which is just fine, but sometimes a composer might do it at the expense of musical substance, since it's easier... Idiomatic keyboard figures are arpeggios, runs, broken chord patterns in sequence, etc. (for example around 1:39-1:60)
Sorry... correction: make that 5:28-5:58 ca.. And it has to be said that virtuoso keyboard writing IS also part of the style of this genre (fantasias, toccatas) to the point where someone should expect it, since it defines the genre. But, with Bach, you have always thematic significance, harmonic beauty and strength of conception to make up for any run-of-the-mill tricks...
Mamma mia, che strazio! Alla fuga specialmente forse aveva urgenza di andare in bagno...!

Perché sforzarsi di descrivere a parole qualcosa di ineffabile?

I even feel that this organ sound is quite psychedelic...

A little too indulgent towards idiomatic keyboard figurations, even for Bach (if this is actually by him)... but FUN to play, nevertheless!

Like Vivaldi is a little too indulgent towards idiomatic violin figurations?

I'm no musicologist, so what does this statement actually mean? (btw, Bach is amazing!)
