Awesome film, moving story with perfect acting , magnificent camera shots, and brilliant music ( again by Hans Zimmer). Every man should watch this and learn from these heroes. Especially Italian captains, who leave a sinking ship with 300 on board. My appreciation for those Delta boys and the rangers depicted in the film. I am watching this film again to make myself believe humanity still exists and not all men are such cowards as Cpt Shittino - I guess this spelling represents him better

Great music. However this patriotic euphemism (US troops fight for freedom) is something used by Hollywood to make money, by politicians to anesthetize public, by people to fool themselves. At the end people lose. US forces had to fight only two times for a genuine reason in their history: One to earn nation's independence, other in WW II.

@DaleDixieMafia your not correct about there is only 250 seals at any given moment if there are 56 platoons and that is not even counting DEVGRU. Most of the teams have over 250 navy seals.

@partyboy4life1986 good like with basic training i'm not in the rangers i'm an airforce major and i heard that during basic training some rangers die! and others drop out because you don't really eat anything and you never get to sleep because you are to busy training so yeah go to the navy they have the easist training then once you graduate from there you have the option to be a S.E.A.L! besides you must graduate from one military branch before going to the rangers

@DaleDixieMafia thats not correct you can actualy apply to become a seal but you do have to past their tough rigirous selection to be considered for BUDS training. once you have completed BUDS only then will you be considered to put of a S.E.A.L team.

When you're pinned down and you have nothing left but the men by your side, that's what you fight for. I didn't get it from the movie, I got it from multiple sources, however the movie confirmed it. @DaleDixieMafia thats not correct you can actualy apply to become a seal but you do have to past their tough rigirous selection to be considered for BUDS training. once you have completed BUDS only then will you be considered to put of a S.E.A.L team.

We did go in there to help the ones who didn't like being oppressed, and we were frowned upon for that. However, it was the brave Rangers who fought against all odds and walked out alive. @muaythairaja I actually get it from a current affairs class. I have to know what's going on because I'm joining next year. What you don't know is the way a soldier feels within the battlefield. When you're pinned down and you have nothing left but the men by your side, that's what you fight for. I didn't get it from the movie, I got it from multiple sources, however the movie confirmed it. I know men who have fought for this country that say that all the time.
