The Macbook Air is not meant for home users! Jesus christ, it is meant for the travelling businessman who wants a light, professional looking, simple computer. Stop bashing the Air because it doesn't do what YOU want it to do.
Smaller screen, smaller keyboard and slower keyboard aren't compromises... they are essential for any good ultra-portable (which MBA is not). Now 1 usb port, no ethernet, no replacable battery looks more like compromises to me, and pretty damn big ones.
if the MBA was design for travelers, for application such as presentation etc and not for video editing or intensive processing. Why have such powerful processor? wouldn't you make sure the traveler reach his/her destinations prepare with what that location has to offer e.g. Ethernet just in-case no wireless, more USB ports just in-case external device is use to swap files, mouse or extra battery just in-case the journey is much longer than the battery can last.
The remote disk thing, isn't that for using disk's remotely on a network? Yeh if you do it over the Internet then it will be very slow, in most countries. Because although you might have a fast download your still gonna have a much lower upload speed. Although yes lots of countries like Japan have equal download to upload.
Will it even let you do the remote disk over the net? Doubt it as it would be far too easy to pirate software.
btw, adrian, i like all the points u made on ur video. apple probably had room for one more usb port atleast. mabey that will be replaced in the future, or another macbook air design. great vid though
lol ye thanks for the support with regards to the RAG.lol. never knew ppl can hate someone ON YOUTUBE.lol. that much, its kinda lame really. but yep hes blocked now, so he can f*** off.lol. thanks
all yall douches hatin on Adrian, he does the vids to express what he feels about apple products and etc, NOT to get rude comments from little beaner heads like ragefasion. u got a prob wit his vids, get ur ass off of his page and go watch something else. i mean atleast hes making progress, goin to uni and stuff. ur probably sitting at home jacking off to ur moms highschool pics. so get a life like Adrian has, or gtfo.
THe apple macbook air is a very cool laptop. It just not for me though. one of the main things that turns me away is the fact that there is no Ethernet cable..I don't use/have wifi in my house..
Macbook Air is far from perfect, and search Google from macbook air not thinest and you will find that a Mitsubishi/HP laptop of 1997 was the thinest :)
yea i just did not like the idea of weighing a lot on wireless, even if speeds are obtained you have to keep them constant, another daunting task to be useful. The missing firewire port to me was an absolute shock.
I suppose a small USB hub would be okay for someone who needs more than one USB port... but then the question is, will that prevent use of the Super Drive if it doesn't support the extra power requirements.
The price reflects on apple's greed and your twisted brain reflects on coporate greed.
