  • Jeremy is so bright. However, after listening to the interviewer with Chris Hedges and Chompsky, I think he's always slightly drunk. Listen to his slurrrsssss.

  • So will the Internet extend our empathic boundaries into global scale? I hope so. A better world awaits us if this occurs.

  • The world needs more people like Jeremy Rifkin!

  • maybe if all mankind was empathic we would all have access to vacuum energy

  • More than ever, the medium is the message.

  • This man is a rare gem. He is actually presenting us with the knoledge to take the next evolutionary step, to find a more balanced way to coexist in the biosphere and ultimately prevent extinction (for now). On the other hand, i dont believe he doesnt realise that we have odds set against us and that increasing empathy levels is merely a makeshift solution. The really efective (and natural) way to decrease entropy levels in any given system is by destroying said system. We will xperience dsaster

  • @Thiswaybefore This man is not a rare gem. Just another one wishing that we are the master of the universe. We are not. We will become extinct, in time.

  • As far as his assertion about the Polar Bears not being able to survive: Polar Bears are (not unnaturally) great swimmers, and have been tracked swimming continuously for up to 100 km (62 miles).

  • Great intervju.

This is so mutch how I see the future, and way I like the Zeitgeist Movement And The Venus Project!

  • So "bittersweet".

  • If I had a mythological consciousness I would say this man is a magical ghost, if I had a theological consciousness I would say he is a prophet or numinous spirit, if I had an ideological consciousness I would say he is the wisest man on earth and as a living creature with biospherical consciousness I say he is a man who gets us thinking and may lead us to the next step in human history.

Thank you Jeremy! You enlighten me and inspire me to new studies during my time as a university student.

  • @SMediaSuperhero me too. I am so glad to know that people like him exist. I really believe that unless we as a species start taking this new approach, we are going to become extinct.

  • @SMediaSuperhero I know exactly what you mean, He really makes you want to know more, he has a magnificent way of making important and relevant subjects extremely interesting :)

    Good luck!

  • please go vegan

  • @gusspig Gee..man. That route would get us extinct.

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 Are you aware Jeremy recommends people reduce their intake of animal products to halt global warming? He also recommends people transition to plant-based diets in another lecture.

  • @Godinme Reducing is fine. Becoming a vegan is idiotic.

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 Becoming vegan is an admirable decision. A plant-based whole foods diet not only uses the least amount of resources, it's proven to cure and prevent cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and most other diseases. What is idiotic about that?

  • @Godinme no thanks, I'm ok with meat!

  • @OrganicKing I'm sure you are. You're body gets 2/3 of its protein from human flesh

  • @Godinme Without meat, we would not have evolved to have the brain we have now.

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 whats your reasoning for saying that?

  • @gusspig Saying what? What wee you referring to?

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 that going vegan would get us extinct. what is your reasoning for saying that?

  • @citizenOfNowhere777 saying that the vegan route would get us extinct?

  • Great man indeed.. Go Jeremy.

  • Great Guy, Great Books.

  • while i don't necessarily agree with some of his absolute views on social and state coalescence i have always felt that the human race and historiography would benefit from an approach where by empathetic progression is given more interest as opposed to military conquest. his point on the 3rd industrial revolution are valid and this also relates to a view expressed by Hobsbawn that Nations are doomed to failure especially with emerging global technologies that alleviate xenophobic conditions
