I'm from England & have only very recently heard of David Cook. But wow, just wow. Not only is the tone of his voice amazing but his song is nothing short of beautiful. So haunting, and the way he performs it, so strong. Its devestatingly sad.
David Cook is running in the Race for Hope in Washington D.C. on May 2, 2010. Please join the race or donate to fight brain cancer, in honor of those you love and in honor of this beautiful song. No links can be posted here -- so Google Race for Hope DC for more info. Thanks!
this is probably the Million time that i watch this and i really dont care because its truly amazing and heartfull and great! and if they would tell me if i would live in the middle of nowhere with everything i need and of course David cook i would say yes!
this is such a great song (Chantal Kreviazuk wrote it for him, she in her own right is amazing). if anyone has ever lost a loved one, this song is completely relatable
WoW i totally love david cook! i also have both versions on my ipod and i just think they are fantastic! this was 2 weeks after adam passed away! god bless u
I have both this and the original from the album on my iPod. I think I like this version even better! I get teary eyed everytime I listen to either version!
I had to get up while this was playing and just caught the end when it told about buying it through itunes. I had already programmed the computer to download Permanant but I will gladly donate my money to help find a cure for this horrible disease and to make Adams fight not for naught. I hope I got that right, I'm a little groggy right now and need some sleep. God bless David. He is already taking care of Adam and they are both watching down upon his younger brother and family.
Wow, that's an amazing performance. One of the saddest songs I've ever heard. It seems like most people would have a really hard time getting through it, and doing such an amazing job.

Chantal did the music, but David wrote the lyrics :"I'm permanent" is a message to his brother Adam who had cancer.
