America has some of the best universities in the world...In fact according to The Times Higher Eduction report the United States has six universities that are considered among the top ten in the world (with Harvard taking the top spot). That same report showed the UK having four universities considered to be among the top ten (with the University of Cambridge taking second place behind Harvard)

From what I can tell going to a university hasn't prevented you from being an ignorant prick.

Yes, but when you consider the sheer size of America, you should have a lot more universities than us. And when you consider that a country with about 1/10th of the population has just as many universities in that top ten list, then you have to admit that something is up ;-).

Also, take into account that this survey was done by an American newspaper, and is probably not 100% accurate, and will favour America above other countries. For instance I don't see the university of Tokyo on there.

American troops have always made the kiddos smile, from WWI to now. Despite what the American haters say, our military does not target kids. We understand they are the biggest victims of war, and try to get them to smile and take a little pain out of their lifes. At the same time we get to connect and hopefully they know we care.
