Because he doesn't have a religious frame of reference he can't appreciate the influence of God in one's life. For those that do, they have a different reference point-it's that simple.
Now it's interesting to note that Barack is plenty religious but I guess his skin color and perception amongst the Iran's of the world will simply restore US standing.
At the end of the day, Farheed likes his rulers a darker shade of tan and thinks that gives us appeal on the world stage.

Taking someone comments out of context then making the connection to an Iranian leader who wants to reduce nations to ash is a pretty crazy stretch even for a wack job like this one.
That statement alone should cost him the election. We are not a country driven by radical religion. Our country was founded on the principle of separation of church and state. The colonists fled Europe to escape such practices. Nevertheless, fear has caused us to regress to such primative standards. Religion teaches core values that laws are based on. BUT OUR GOVERNMENT IS NOT TO BE RUN ON ONE DENOMINATION'S VALUES!
That quote is great! Exactly how I feel about the World and Religion. I'm liking this Fareed guy more and more. He's smart, insightful, direct, and doesn't seem to have some agenda or bias.
I've always felt that the religious right was jealous of Iran's theocracy.

That's simply not the case.
I will not dispute that Obama is a Christian, but he is also a secularist, which means he believes in the separation of church and state.
Huckabee has remarked that he wanted to change the constitution to make it more like God's word.
Fareed makes a good point.
