Anon i dunno where u get your information from, but according to global firepower, the uk would probably get crushed in an open war vs russia. The russians have more than double the uk's standing land, air, and naval forces.
Each naval ship, aircraft, bomb and assault rifle are close enough in combat effeciency that it would be a personal preference. The only 2 advantages i could observe for the uk would the british challenger(tank) and that uk soldiers are probably trained better.

Anon i dunno where u get your information from, but according to global firepower, the uk would probably get crushed in an open war vs russia. The russians have more than double the uk's standing land, air, and naval forces.
Each naval ship, aircraft, bomb and assault rifle are close enough in combat effeciency that it would be a personal preference. The only 2 advantages i could observe for the uk would the british challenger(tank) and that uk soldiers are probably trained better.

@CrimsonPhoenix07 I agree that in an open war that the UK would find it difficult to beat Russia - however this is only because geologically Russia is huge and we don't have the men to hold that amount of ground.
Apart from that, only Russia's airforce and Spetsnaz (all units) would present a challenge. The average Russian soldier is nowhere near the level of the average British soldier, with most Spetznaz being on par with PARAs (apart from a few specialist spetznz units).
