Intel Core i7 Mobile CPU (Clarksfield) Preview

I'm wondering witch Intel Processor is better for my Sony VAIO F:

the i5 Core 580MQ 2.6 GHz or the i7 Core 820QM 1.73 GHz ?!

since the first has higher Clock speed and can reach even higher ones with Turbo Boost, and the latter is i7 Core which is supposed to be faster!

Any thoughts?

My recent laptop order will have that GTX 285M GPU in it and it has officially replaced the GTX 280M. Benchmarks show a 10-15% performance improvement in actual gaming with a 3% artificial benchmark improvement.

at the moment the only core i7 i can find in notebooks has 1,6ghz. should i than rather buy a core 2 quad with 2ghz?

no... ur Core i7 will be faster in any way u can imagine...even if its clocked lower.. so dont buy that core 2 quad with 2 ghz.. cause thats the cut down version of the original core 2 quad mobile... it just has 6mb of cache..instead of 12mb... etc etc..
