I get the whole quality being a lot better, but the better the quality, the longer it takes to render.. Also, since I was able to dum down on the hd, i was able to render a 10 minute video in an hour and a half. But, the file size of the video was very large ( 500 gb ) so it takes a long time to upload on youtube. Do you know any way I can make the file size smaller?

For the beginning the video on pinnacle studio... don't use default settings if you want way better quality you'd actually learn how to experiment

@mrp4nts I had the same problem. Left click on your video go to properties and under media go to field order and choose upper field first. Then go to project video properties and go to deinterlace method and choose blend fields. Worked perfectly for me.

If you want to get better quality then MPEG-2 then use Virtual Dub and record with a lossless codec. The file size will be larger, but the quality will be PERFECT to the input source.

@NAMEFLEX There's not really a BEST dazzle. Just make sure you have one that is recent (Like Dazzle dvc 100 or higher) because all of them are just allowing you to have your input cables viewable in the program (Usually at 720x480). It's the program recording which has the greatest impact on how the quality turns out.

Its probably a common problem but is there a way to fix the sound its out of sync, Yes I did try to speed up my PC. I uninstalled so many stuff, deleted, and even did a disk defrag my PC took a whole 12 hours...

Switching to an S-video cable wouldn't stop the problem it only improves quality.

The reason you're having this problem is because your processor isn't fast enough

@MilFluVR16 K, I fixed it. I have the DVC 100 Dazzle and it comes with a Instant DVD Recorder and the settings are very limited, I think that was the problem. I downloaded Pinnacle Studio 12 it has more custom settings than the sucky Instant DVD Recorder. Hurray!! Thx.

Your computer isn't fast enough to record in the best settings. What you can try to do is close all the programs that you aren't using and see if that works

I use an S-Video cable because the quality is better then composite cables

But if you use composite just turn the HD switch off and hook it up like normal
