try pro5 its pretty good. tasty too. um when you start im pretty sure its about 0.6 grams per every pound of your body weight, then more as you continually work out. maintain a good schedule and dont just work out your arms every day..

To be honest, at the age of 13 your body isn't ready to start bulking up and packing on muscle. Your body doesn't begin producing optimal testosterone levels for muscle growth until a few years later.
Let your body grow before you start BULKING up... getting fit and toned is fine, but adding a lot of mass to your frame can stunt your growth at 13 man... and no fucking way did you see a 200 pound 7yr old, thats just retarded.
is this supposed to be a full chest workout, or just an exercise as part of ur chest workout?? im just wondering so that i know if i should just do this once or do it to failure
It's a full workout you can perform in 15 minutes, read his description for the video. But in case you don't want to read it, I'll tell you. Pretty much this is a non-stop no-rest excercise. As many pushups as possible, as many flys, and as many presses. Then more pushups, more flys. etc. You can switch out the dumbbell press by a seated bench press and the flys with a pec-dec, if you're not good at balancing weights and your elbows are weak.
if you do the 3 different excersizes exactly with no break inbetween, then you will need a minute or two of rest and repeat. Or you could do each excresize to "fauilure" sperately which will give you more concentration to successfully excute each excersize properly.

the answer is cardio...make sure you do it, every day is the best. Play basketball, run, skate, just make sure your burining calories every day. Lifting weights wont burn off any excess flab, it will just add size under the flab.
That is a huge misconception. Doing cardio does burn calories for the time that you do it, but building muscle increases your metabolism keeping your body burning more calories throughout the day to maintain the muscles. Weightlifting (resistance) and cardio should be used together with a good diet. The balanced, healthy diet is actually probably the most important key to losing excess fat.

First of all, you are way too hostile. Secondly, I told him about the important of DIET, which you failed to mention at all. Also you said that "Lifting weights won't burn off any excess flab"...which actually it definitely does if you eat right. But you're right, I'm the one that looks stupid.

Not bad, but I prefer benching above all - the flies fuck up my shoulders sometimes. This would be more of a "end-exercise", the one I'd do after everything else.
I did mention functional exercises such as burpies and the leapard crawl. With weights you put a great deal of stress on your back and this can result in injury. The worst resistance training though is weight machgines because they dont allw you to use your stability muscles. Also what makes a lot of weight lifters unfunctional is the fact that they are simply to big and dont do any functional exercises.
I've been working out for the past 4 or something years... without a gym just with a dumbbell and pushups no supplements. And i have turned out to look like a mini van damme when he was in his twenties just not as big. But i do go to my karate dojo and work out there however it is just dumbbells there.

you dont need weights just do pushups and pullups, if you do weights, ya prone to injury and they don,t build functional strenght. The army don,t have weights they use exercises like burpies, pushups, leapard crawms and many more.
(bbotttt) Pushups / pullups are fine and dandy - throw in some jumping jacks, bear crawls and other like 'functional movement oriented' excercises and youre good to go. However, youre 'prone to injury' in anything you do that involves bodily stress - and to say weighted excercises dont build functional stength is incorrect. Thats the point of Dumbbells; a dumbbell requires you to use your small stabilizer muscles. Dumbbells together with functional movement excercises = functional strength.
thats a great video, but theres one question, my room is kind of small but not the size of a closet lol, i have a bed and a chair. I know that i can't do presses or flys on the bed for that the vibration and motion will travel onto the matress making it bounce a little and i won't get muscles. But if a were to lay down horizontally, with my legs on the matress and my back on the chair, wouldn't i be able to do presses and flys that way? i don't have a bench.
fold your duvet and place your pillows on top to make a mini bench placed on your matress. when your arms are flat you should still have half a foot of 'give' between your hands and your matress. by doing fly's with this 'give' you should be able to build muscle.

No I dont use steriods but I'm flattered that you suspected it :) I've been lifting 5days a week for 25 years and have gotten my muscle very, very gradually. Check out my website and see what I'm about.
OK, my workout is not THAT good :) You will start to feel better immediately and you will get stronger every week but it takes months or years to see any added muscle. Adding muscle is a very, very slow process.
kyoukan91 i'm almost 16 and i'm 6'1 and what i do is a 130 sec hand stand 10 sec one handed and simple flips and stuff for fun + martial arts, and i tried doing weights and i was aboul to lift 120lb 25 times so what i saying is if you do phisical stuff you can become very strong without ever tuching a weight-i i do pch ups every once and awhile..

thats true if i skateboard and i do it for a bout 1 to 2 hours a day it works the abs a lot from tensing and resting constantly biking will do the same for your legs baseball, your arms. i don't workout often but i do lots of sports and i have a six pack
You have discovered the ultimate whole body workout - doing sports all day! Skateboarding is excellent exercise - legs, abs, balance & coordination. All the time teens in the 13-17 age range are commenting asking for routines and I always tell them that they are too young and that its much better to take up a sport like soccer, basketball or skateboarding until they are about 17.

what I do is lift once a week, about 10 lbs each hand (dumbells), and 25 lbs barbells (both), for legs ido 200 lbs max. If you want to lift for sports (basketball, football, lacrosse, baseball, etc), I recomend using an 8 lb medicine ball for now, you may find excersizes on the internet for this, but if you may contact me if you want. (you can do med ball and weights, and it will not stunt your growth) please contact me if you want any help.
well i know the incline narrow grip bench press hits that area, so something in pushup or dumbell form that mimics that motion. hope that helps a little.
im 14 and 120 punds+ and i can do 15 slow pushups like in ur video dubells 10 punds i lift it like 15 times then lift upwords like 10 but then i can do 25 crunches with no rest i think u shud add crunches at the end of ur workout it really gets u pumped.
i need serious help, im 14 years old and i arent really satisfied with my body even tho i do a workout 3-4 times a week, i dont know why but i keep loosing weight, im no bodybuilder but a go pretty rough on my arms and chest, i dont know what im doing wrong, i eat as much as possible and drink alot of water during the workout but im not sure whats wrong.. before every workout im out running about 3 km or more
You should cut down on the Cardio. Sounds like your burning up some serious calories. Calories are needed to gain good lean muscle mate. Get the protein in also, because if your not consuming enough, you won't grow. In fact, you will probably lose weight!
"losing weight" can mean many things. Best case you are gaining muscle but losing so much fat that the scale still reads less each. This is exactly why I hate the scale as a measurement of progress. A bodyfat caliper is much better.
I don't know what type of sport you're involved in, but anyways, it would be a shame for u to quit doing your cardio. In my book, you should NEVER trade in conditioning/speed/strength for looks.
If you wanna 'improve' the way your arms and shoulders look, without sacrificing your endurance etc. I think you might wanna give boxing (or something like that)a go. it really pumped up my shoulders n triceps. And keeps improving your allaround physical condition at the same time.
I have found that the motivation is very important in determining success in BB. Looks are not a good motivator because you are basically doing all this work for somebody elses benefit, not yours. Do it because it makes you feel better, have more energy, or because it lets you play basketball better and that internal motivation is far stronger than looks.
that's a great advice scooby, i dream my whole life of becoming a bodybuilder, in fact i started training with a pro bb trainer, but after a couple of months, i couldnt afford it anymore, bodybuilding is expensive!! :( I still work out, but i hope to someday get enough money so i could train and buy right suplements and stuff

I would not risk it, own body workouts are okay, as long as u dont push yourself too much, because that might stunt ur growth also, but if you really want to lift weights, ask your school P.E teacher for advice
Scooby I have one more question. I know you're supposed to very your routine every month or so but how should i do that? Different Parts on different days? Sometimes higher weights and some lower weights? TOtally different excercises? What do you find is best for shocking your muscles into growing as i do like this workout but i have to change it in about a week. I do it every week twice a week, along with triceps( dips etc.), then biceps and back twice a week.
By the way dipshits who say "O scoobys on steroids or something theres no way hes that big but doesnt do many reps" stfu. I have a great physique, (I can finally say that) but doing all this shit with no rest is hard. Maybe if fags like you guys would actually TRY the workout THEN come back. I can barely do em with just 20lb dumbells after all the pushups so don't accuse him of steroids just because the weights are not big. Its not a big weight workout.
Scooby you rock. I've actually been doing your chest workout and i have to say, it really hurts the next day. So far i'm about 20 pushups before i cant do anymore with good form, about 10 flys and maybe 7-8 presses but I have to say this WILL build up your chest. Way to go. ANd this is not coming from a novice i've been bodybuilding for quite a while and know tons of workouts but THIS one is almost perfect.
Thanks Nickdashizzle, glad this is working for you! I really like this workout now and then. Many people dont understand that to gain mass you need to vary your workout and that means doing a high rep, low weight workout like this now and then.

Thats the point of Dumbbells; a dumbbell requires you to use your small stabilizer muscles. Dumbbells together with functional movement excercises = functional strength.

thats a great video, but theres one question, my room is kind of small but not the size of a closet lol, i have a bed and a chair. I know that i can't do presses or flys on the bed for that the vibration and motion will travel onto the matress making it bounce a little and i won't get muscles. But if a were to lay down horizontally, with my legs on the matress and my back on the chair, wouldn't i be able to do presses and flys that way? i don't have a bench.

fold your duvet and place your pillows on top to make a mini bench placed on your matress. when your arms are flat you should still have half a foot of 'give' between your hands and your matress. by doing fly's with this 'give' you should be able to build muscle.

OK, my workout is not THAT good :) You will start to feel better immediately and you will get stronger every week but it takes months or years to see any added muscle. Adding muscle is a very, very slow process.

kyoukan91 i'm almost 16 and i'm 6'1 and what i do is a 130 sec hand stand 10 sec one handed and simple flips and stuff for fun + martial arts, and i tried doing weights and i was aboul to lift 120lb 25 times so what i saying is if you do phisical stuff you can become very strong without ever tuching a weight-i i do pch ups every once and awhile..

thats true if i skateboard and i do it for a bout 1 to 2 hours a day it works the abs a lot from tensing and resting constantly biking will do the same for your legs baseball, your arms. i don't workout often but i do lots of sports and i have a six pack

You have discovered the ultimate whole body workout - doing sports all day! Skateboarding is excellent exercise - legs, abs, balance & coordination. All the time teens in the 13-17 age range are commenting asking for routines and I always tell them that they are too young and that its much better to take up a sport like soccer, basketball or skateboarding until they are about 17.

I'm thirteen also,
what I do is lift once a week, about 10 lbs each hand (dumbells), and 25 lbs barbells (both), for legs ido 200 lbs max. If you want to lift for sports (basketball, football, lacrosse, baseball, etc), I recomend using an 8 lb medicine ball for now, you may find excersizes on the internet for this, but if you may contact me if you want. (you can do med ball and weights, and it will not stunt your growth) please contact me if you want any help.

well i know the incline narrow grip bench press hits that area, so something in pushup or dumbell form that mimics that motion. hope that helps a little.

im 14 and 120 punds+ and i can do 15 slow pushups like in ur video dubells 10 punds i lift it like 15 times then lift upwords like 10 but then i can do 25 crunches with no rest i think u shud add crunches at the end of ur workout it really gets u pumped.

i need serious help, im 14 years old and i arent really satisfied with my body even tho i do a workout 3-4 times a week, i dont know why but i keep loosing weight, im no bodybuilder but a go pretty rough on my arms and chest, i dont know what im doing wrong, i eat as much as possible and drink alot of water during the workout but im not sure whats wrong.. before every workout im out running about 3 km or more

You should cut down on the Cardio. Sounds like your burning up some serious calories. Calories are needed to gain good lean muscle mate. Get the protein in also, because if your not consuming enough, you won't grow. In fact, you will probably lose weight!

"losing weight" can mean many things. Best case you are gaining muscle but losing so much fat that the scale still reads less each. This is exactly why I hate the scale as a measurement of progress. A bodyfat caliper is much better.

I don't know what type of sport you're involved in, but anyways, it would be a shame for u to quit doing your cardio. In my book, you should NEVER trade in conditioning/speed/strength for looks.
If you wanna 'improve' the way your arms and shoulders look, without sacrificing your endurance etc. I think you might wanna give boxing (or something like that)a go. it really pumped up my shoulders n triceps. And keeps improving your allaround physical condition at the same time.

I have found that the motivation is very important in determining success in BB. Looks are not a good motivator because you are basically doing all this work for somebody elses benefit, not yours. Do it because it makes you feel better, have more energy, or because it lets you play basketball better and that internal motivation is far stronger than looks.

that's a great advice scooby, i dream my whole life of becoming a bodybuilder, in fact i started training with a pro bb trainer, but after a couple of months, i couldnt afford it anymore, bodybuilding is expensive!! :( I still work out, but i hope to someday get enough money so i could train and buy right suplements and stuff

I would not risk it, own body workouts are okay, as long as u dont push yourself too much, because that might stunt ur growth also, but if you really want to lift weights, ask your school P.E teacher for advice

Scooby I have one more question. I know you're supposed to very your routine every month or so but how should i do that? Different Parts on different days? Sometimes higher weights and some lower weights? TOtally different excercises? What do you find is best for shocking your muscles into growing as i do like this workout but i have to change it in about a week. I do it every week twice a week, along with triceps( dips etc.), then biceps and back twice a week.

I have a great physique, (I can finally say that) but doing all this shit with no rest is hard. Maybe if fags like you guys would actually TRY the workout THEN come back. I can barely do em with just 20lb dumbells after all the pushups so don't accuse him of steroids just because the weights are not big. Its not a big weight workout.

Scooby you rock. I've actually been doing your chest workout and i have to say, it really hurts the next day. So far i'm about 20 pushups before i cant do anymore with good form, about 10 flys and maybe 7-8 presses but I have to say this WILL build up your chest. Way to go. ANd this is not coming from a novice i've been bodybuilding for quite a while and know tons of workouts but THIS one is almost perfect.
