I'm curious as to whether the vocal style to Mika Miko was influenced by Melt Banana. I dig the old punk roots obviously present in this band in conjunction with the noise-style approach to singing. That's probably what makes them a hot topic in Los Angeles and at The Smell. The little hipster kids are probably like, "O my god. This is original! I've never heard anything like this before."

With that said, I never want to see this band live. Just another scenester/hipster crowd. Nothing new.
