your sick!!! i really love your style.. damn wish i could play like you.. can you give me any techniques or can you teach me how to become you!?? lol seriously man! your good!
john I simply love your blue kit, mahogany is so tasty and I cannot get enough of it. Yet I must say I am simply amazed by the feeling and energy you show while playing the lil kit. So I am going for the lil one :)
Man I've been watching your videos, and you know.. you got talent :) and the way you play guitar or drums seems easy but you do some really good stuff. I'll subscribe you. Do you have a musical carreer or you just play for fun?
EOS 500D.. or the EOS t1i if you're from the states. but it's the lenses that make the biggest difference. i used 2 fast prime lenses. a 50mm 1.8 and a 35mm f/2.
fair play.. i haven't seen ur videos for a while but i just remembered about them today and i remembered why i liked them so much. There brilliant. I love your grooves i always seem to pick up lots of ideas and patterns after watching them.. keep up the great work..! loving the kits by the way!
Really nice work there! Love that little kit and you play very well. Lot's of variety. You might get a kick out of my short vid clips on youtube. I'm under "Drummer Richard Gray". Thanks!
you don't look like anyone in particular its just i see alot of jazz drummers and they all seem to have the same type of facial hair clothing ect, nice playing btw
I wouldn't call it weird, i saw the way you were looking at it, you want one. oh yeah im going with the Saturn :) haha i keep changing my mind but this time im set, ill tell ya more on thursday!
2 reasons for the "little" kick sound being a bit flat. the kick drum is tiny. it's only 20"x9" so it'll never sound massive. plus i'm using a small portable audio recorder, not the usual dedicated drum mics and mixer. consider this an experiment. the next drum video i do will have bigger sound :)
Nice video! I never noticed this much about your playing, but you make very good use of the few pieces you have in your kits (compared to a huge metal kit). Nice grooves, sweet fills. The camera work is awesome too, by the way.
720p @ 30fps. the Canon 500D can shoot 1080p but only at 20fps, so that mode is kinda useless, besides youtube only displays content at a maximum of 720p anyway so 1080p would be wasted :)
kool, it came out well.. I have picked the T1i\500D and was wondering which mode I should film in. For me 1080p was way too choppy.. so from what I see 720p works great! thx
cool. the other thing to be aware of if you did shoot 1080p for some reason is that image wobble/rolling shutter is far worse. whereas it's pretty controlled at 720.
on which kit? i have two sets :) on the little white kit, they're Sabian AA 14" Light Hats. on the blue kit i'm playing 14" Avedis Zildjian New Beats. both sets are at least 20 years old so there's a little more warmth than in a shiny new set.

i was referring to the white kit but the 20 year age is what drew me in. mmm the warmth of a hi hat.
