Re-using gaskets? Really?? I have never done diesels but I've done a few gassers, I would never re-use a gasket. Any gasket...just for piece of mind for me. Still good job tho bud!
@fortmcmurraycash Gaskets on gas engines tend to be made not to last. My manifold gaskets look to good to throw away or buy new ones because people who have done manifold swaps before me re-used their old gaskets.
your new manifold have more little sections compared to the old one. i assume it's for improve the velocity of your exhaust gas no ?
however you should be very careful to your egt.
i'm not american and i've no powestroke bu i know a guy's channel powerstrokehelp in wich he says those engines are very sensitive about egt and like to blow headgasket like candys.
you should check this channel it's very interesting.
very cool videos
i hope you will not loose habitual quality because of the adsense
@bigdaveCP Throttle response has improved greatly. My EGT's are getting a little hot because of the 120hp PPE tune. The highest EGT I've reached was 1,000 degrees with normal driving.
I don't know how you do this so quietly. If I were to film myself fixing a car you would hear cussing and grunting. That is why I DON'T do repair videos.
Hats off the all the mechanics in the shops and home garages world wide. The manufacturers put all this stuff together with the body's off the vehicles using tools specifically made for each assembly line, then when someone wants to repair or upgrade the vehicle we have to shimmy and hammer and reach around all the parts they slammed together, Great video, great reminder of what mechanics world wide do for the rest of us.

DOES THis manifold make the truck more noisy , i dont want it to be too loud
CBCOlympics 8 months ago
@CBCOlympics The manifold doesn't make the truck any louder because it only improves exhaust flow.

Nice video, did you notice a difference in throttle response/power or lower EGT's?
