Everyone's complaining about this one, but this one is closer to MMPR then the other seasons that followed, they just took the first idea and amped it up in terms of graphics and fight choreography. Apart from that it's still like the 90's unlike other 90's shows that drastically change or disappear forever. You should give these guys a break, because telling me that this is cheezy and the first one wasn't is dumb. This is just cheezy because movies nowadays are not as cheezy as back then.

The theme song and the gold lighting bolt are staples of the original PR sega from Sabian. thats also why they got (and are discussing about getting more) past PR characters from the Sabian run and fan favorites from disney to show up for the 2013 gokieger adaptation.

I was watching power rangers since 1995 when I was 6 (the original one) then I stopped watching powers rangers after power rangers in space and that was of course back in 1998 when I was 10. This generation of cartoon shows do not compare to the 90's at all.

there were 2 seasons of ninja sentai, one of which became a mini series in US between Zeo and the last season of rangers. Shinkenger was odd in the sense that it was the very first time in japan to use Samurai as a motif within the 30 years. Shinkenger was also probably the best sentai that had come out within the recent years.

If Saban writes their own storyline, it could be good. Mighty Morphin was very good. Now it's just a case of copy and paste. Samurai is not easy to make an adaptation for western audience in the first place.

I watched quite a few episodes from this season to check it out (though skeptical cause of the Power Ranger crap they've been feeding us for YEARS now) and I have to say, this is by far the best season of Power Rangers in a loooong time. This might be my next favorite next to Turbo. Anything after turbo I pretty much saw as crap, even though halfway through Turbo I saw Power Rangers start to go downhill.
