no dude i think you got your information wrong, its totaly legal to have a silencer as long as you dont take your gun out into public and act like its a real gun, i have a silencer and all it is is just metal with foam in it and a lot of guns have silencers on them even check out some videos on youtube and i go to an airsoft shop and the owner is a U.S. marine and he sells silencers so if silencers were illegal a U.S marine wouldnt be selling them but nice video anyways!

one question, does the silencer on the m82 work because i got an mp5k (not from hobbytron) and it came with that exact silencer with the orange tip on the end and it was just a plastic barrel that didnt even silence the gun, and in the video the sound of the m82 is fake right?

@soccer10176 All airsoft silencer are fake in the US because a real one would be illegal. The US does not allow real silencers.

@hobbytron23 Silencers are not illegal in the US, you just have to have a clean record and have to go through a bunch of Red Tape to get one.

Also Airsoft Silencers don't work. The sound comes from the gearbox, not the barrel.

@soccer10176 no matter what you do the gun will not be silenced. The reason is because it is an electric gun, and the sounds that the gun makes comes from the inside because of all the gears hitting each other. Airsoft guns don't work like real guns (no duh) so a silencer would not work anyway
