yea i have alopatia and it sucks. like when I was groing up and all the kids are going in to puberty and are starting to grow body hair and I stay compleatly bald. my head is shaved and my eyebrows are tattooed on and when im wering long pants and a long shirt you can't even tell.

yea i have alopecia too but there is a treatment like taking corticosteroids but this treatments might take 4months but there is a treatment where ur hair grows back in 4 weeks but that would be steriod injections to the scalp

I've had Alopecia since i was 3, I'm now 17. I have never heard of this guy and i play loads of ball too. Well i am from UK... Heads up everyone. The bully's don't have a clue, they need to give there head a wobble.

not sure what kind of alopecia you have, but if it's an autoimmune thing, it's not permanent::the hair follicle is not permanently destroyed. fact. I've even read one can implant artificial hairs-individual hairs- anywhere in the body, and they last for years. I'm not taking that route, currently, though. I think I can overcome this shit, with the proper treatment.

bullshit. your hair will grow back. As I posted in here a moment ago, it's a condition...not a permanent syndrome, or what have you. I have AU, had AA since 1996, AT since 2003, and AU since 2004..and I've done certain things by myself that have promoted partial remission. Currently, i'm putting it all together to enjoy not only all of my hair back, but all of my hair back to stay. <------THEN , I can start dating again. lol. Remember, your immune system is a circulating nervous system. relax!!

Amazing how he can make a difference by just listening to the kids and signing autographs. Pretty cool! Life's hard enough as it is, can't imagine how it must be growing up with alopecia.. Lots of love and respect to those tough kids.

there is no treatment for alopecia.

there are several treatments for it. I have the worse kind: AU. I see remission episodes here and there. Corticosteroids, immunomodulators like "moducare" seem to help as well. I had hair like george michael,and now i look like the guy from the movie: "Powder"..but I see remission, and it's not permanent in every case, from what i've read in several sources. I'm not even to stay positive, but I'm listening to the non-commercialized comments about AA and AU.

There are several treatments, yes. It's just an immune-to-hairfollicle cycle. Breaking the cycle is all one needs to do. i.e, teaching the immune system to stop making that auto-antigen. ::less genetic predisposition::theory:: I think autoimmune situations can be reversed, if not removed altogether. I'm proof, I have AU, and I'm seeing remission from becoming a vegan and removing stress, as well as visiting a dermatologist::about to use corticosteroid treatment::i think this combinationWILLwork.
