I am not afraid to die, but what happens after I die terrifies me. I always imagine after I die I'm going to be stuck in a white place, nothing around me, I can't hear anything, I can't speak, all I can do is see and think...forever. You know what I mean? Being in one place, unable to do anything...for eternity. It really bugs me and I don't know why.

People talking about how they 'know' what happens after death are extremely dangerous. The most anyone can do is speculate.
No-one comes back to tell us what it's like being dead!
My opinion is that once you are dead, there is no more brain activity so therefore essentially 'you' do not exist any more.
People have a problem with this as the mind, the 'ego' does not like to contemplate its own annihilation.
We cannot 'know' what happens after death as the device capable of 'knowing' dies.
