"Picnic" is the only album sold in Japan. I hope stores will have more CDs of Dorothy Collins, who is another icon of jazz vocalists. This is the very best version
her work is fantastic. i think her work is finally being recognized. There is a lot of her musical recordings out in the stores today.I am so glad because she was a great performer.a lot of her tv performances from hollywood palace are available now as are dvd's of the Your Hit Parade shows.I hope someday a tape of the great show on broadway Follies-comes forth. her performance of Sally Plummer-fantastic..Her rendition of Losing My Mind was the greatest .I have great memories.bubbleburst.
She certainly was great. Some credit must be noted to Steve Allen for writing this classic. He supposedly wrote thousands of songs, none of which I know except this one. This one is enough to immortalize him.
MISS .COLLINS did record a great deal of material.she recorded for coral records, also with her husband raymond scott, and the musical recording of the greaT sondheim musical-FOLLIES.HER RECORDING OF LOSING MY MIND IN FOLLIES has never been duplicated.she stopped the show every nite.she made about a dozen APPEARANCES ON HOLLYWOOD PALACE IN THE 60 PERIOD.SHE RECORDED SOME GREAT JAZZ MUSIC.LOOK AROUND-YOU WILL FIND HER GREAT MATERIAL.SHE REALLY WAS GREAT.I REALLY ENJOYED THS SONG.TOYLAND93..
Thank you for the brief bio on Ms. Collins. I'm aware she did record some and appear on a variety of television shows.. I just wish her work was easier to find and her television performances preserved onto DVD.. all of them! she is truely wonderful : )

Good version--I like this song. Also this singer: Dorothy Collins made one of the first records I can remember loving, "Baciare, Baciare."
