  • This man is an idiot

  • From NBC's Chuck Todd

Edwards: ...if unions think about it, they'll likely have a bigger seat at the table with Team Edwards than with either Team Clinton or Team Obama. He came across much more well-informed on key AFSCME issues than the other candidates.

  • Hey, wait a minute. Edwards was in the Senate for six years. You may remember this headline "AFL-CIO Ecstatic about Edwards and Gives his 2003 Voting Record a 100% Rating." So, don't say he's only making promises, that's not true,

  • Barack Obama has also made a pledge to sign EFCA.

  • I know, and I'm glad Obama supports EFCA, but it's Edwards that lives and breathes our union causes. So, we should support him first and foremost.

  • I think they're both good candidates. I agree that Edwards' platform is centered more on economic populist issues, but I think they are equally good on our issues.

  • Yes, they are both good candidates; but Edward's platform is centered more on unions.

  • Okay, but a platform is a promise, nothing more. Barack has taken the time to come out to rallies for the organizing campaign I work on and even plans to mention these workers' stories during Senate debate on EFCA this week. He votes well on our issues in the Senate and has an excellent record during his time in the IL Senate. I'm just saying that anyone can talk the talk, but Barack has been quite an ally for us.

  • Okay, fair enough. Honestly, I would be happy with either one of them as President. I'm just arguing for fun!

  • Edwards would sign that bill. Edwards is the most pro-union candidate to come along in generations. I hope all our brothers and sisters give him their support.
