I've been using Gabranth for a while and I like to believe I've mastered using him (mainly since I can actually beat lvl 150 npc's with him and beat the time attack in under 12min with him) I find what helps more is if you set him up so that he'll stay in EX mode longer and save the burst for when you know it'll finish them off. Though if you use the main 3 EX accessorys (hourglass, necklace, graviorb), Close to you and six boosters, he'll never exit EX mode.

Well, each summon has their own abilities. I dont know every summons ability, but lets take Ifrit for example. If you summon him, you will get 150% Bravery bonus. You can only use a summon once though. But like I said, each summon has their own abilities.
