  • i have always thought that 2 swords are better than one,but you must have a lot of mastery using a single sword before using 2..

ive always dreamed to be a master of dual swords :)

  • @ChrisTheBest1992 you and me both!

  • does using two swords effective in combat?

  • @jptothemax02 in kung fu movies it is extremely effective! Wait, have I used a sword in combat lately, uhm, let me check my calender....

  • This technique looks like it would be used to confuse an opponent, especially since there isn't a very long opening for them to attack while you're doing that.

  • @ChucklesJack In principle, you're correct. However, the primary issue with this train of thought is the assumption that even a moderately skilled opponent is incapable of creating openings of their own. This is a very coordinated motion; throw one thing out of sync and you screw the whole thing up. If you did this against an opponent, all they'd have to do is parry one sword to destroy your rhythm and you'd likely end up cutting off a hand, arm, or even leg.

  • @ChishioAme I see your point

  • look like the same with nunchuck.

  • It took me some time but I really learned from this too! Great stuff!

  • wow man I really learned from this thanks ^^

  • thanks

  • jedi knight :D

  • cool

  • Thanks dude

  • Can you PLEASE do a tutorial on how to spin one sword, in slow motion?? I'd be grateful!

  • @perfectcatastrophe ok, I will do some simpler ones, thanks

  • @perfectcatastrophe you're right

  • thats really cool man.. Im interested in learning a little bit of wushu.. this is really helpful..

  • Where did u get the training swords.

  • @krishkid can't remember, I just googled 'foam bokken' and bought the cheapest pair I could find

  • helll yeahh kick azz

  • Lol, I can see a movie coming up from a 'regular' looking guy at the office who kicks ass :)

  • Very cool!

  • Just a little point here, 'Wushu' is a set of 'forms' to beautify the movements.

Taichi/Taiji is the form of martial arts to mainly counter the enemy's brute/overwhelming force with your seemingly feeble moves.

    Yeah, just to correct you a little. = }

  • Can you do this with two machetes?

  • @newbreed494 yes, you can use any sword you wish, I have another video where I use two chinese broadswords to do this

  • Little Note: For the spin, I'm having a little bit of hard time training my left side, which is reasonable, but...

The spin is in 2 parts: The first, where the blade/stick crosses from it's side to the opposite, there the motion is in the shoulder. The second part, carrying the blade up the second time and back to it's home side, the movement for me is in the elbow, and is mainly the straightening on the arm with a little wrist movement. Is this correct? It looks that way from the vid.

  • Really nice tutorial. I've learned this one from my dad for fun, it was harder then I thought when I started haha. I like how you really took in depth about the explanation and the angle you shot the video at showed me a lot more then what people usually do, the usual full front shot. So thanks.

  • where did you get it i want that

  • This looks quite good, I've been hunting down videos like this on youtube for awhile now and the sheer speed of these sword spins has had me half convinced the people where spinning them through their fingers in some cases! I've tried myself and it is possible to spin a sword handle through your fingers, but very difficult and I don't see any practical use for that.

But the proper sword spins as your showing them, they look good and well practised.

  • @TheEverTwistedOne thank you for the kind words, I am due to put some of these moves together, just have not had time

part of the speed of some of the videos is in part due to the extreme lightness of those floppy 'wushu' swords, these are heavier and give you a better workout I think

  • dude this is exactly what i was looking for but can you do it slower i cant figure out in front with my hands if you can explain the whole wrists motion slower it would be awesome!!! good video

  • @critikdude I will try to do some new ones with slow motion and actual swords in the next couple weeks

  • @eteune thanks bud!!! your technique seems to be #1 im starting to get it but im missing something it doesnt feel right but your too good and fast for me haha

  • @eteune Yea same here...I would love if you did a slower up close video, so I can see how the sword moves throughout the hand. Thanks - Karl

  • Are they homemade?

  • @balordoman no, I bought these online, just do a search for 'foam bokken' and you should be able to find some cheap

  • thanks man nice swords
