I just got this sweet monster last week! I absolutely love it!! But damn what blowed me away was how I could hook it up to my laptop, and through the software called GearBox; not only could I tweak my settings from my laptop but with internet connections I could download an artist tone and save it to the users preset.

Guitar/Bass players, get this!!!

I use Sonar for my DAW and after installing all the drivers from Line6, Sonar recognized it...now all have to do is tweak the settings.

Hey. Can anyone tell me what's the difference between the Pod X3, Pod X3 live and Pod X3 Pro? Except for the fact that one is a rack mount one is desktop sort of a thing and one is a floor based processor.

Dont listen to that dumb moron he dosnt know what he is talking about, he problary cannot even use it. I own the pod x3 live and its an incredible pedal. You need to tune your sound to make it sound perfected. It all depends on how you run the pedal and what you run it through.

i use my PODX3 for live use and it sounds great for me, i get compliments on my live sounds all the time. i just never turn the master volume up past 12 o'clock and usually have my carvin legacy halfstack clean volume around 4.

I'm into Boss and I was admiring the Boss GT Pro...

But look at this! They even have dry signal output & full plug in functionality...

Hearing the sound you want, record as clean and then applying the sound from the plug in while being able to tweak it to fit the mixing...

Plus they have Metal Zone Dist from Boss...

U can record bass, guitar, vocals, double channel for more experimental moods, u can take it live... the only drawback is the footcontroller's price, but whatever...

If the old foot controller still work fine, it won't cost you more than about 100$. Hardly annoying, they used to give free foot controllers away back with the POD XT PRO by the way. In fact, I've owned the POD XT LIVE for some years now, but I hardly ever use the foot controller. Just not the wah-wah kind of guy and if I do, I usually use a different wah pedal in between anyways. Having said that, 100 bucks for the foot controller ain't that much.Not sure if the floorboard is even compatible.

Yeah, you'll have to buy it separately.. but you can basically use any foodswitch. I would wait a little though as there's a special footcontroller coming out for the POD X3 Pro later this year.. early next year. The POD X3 Pro itself isn't shipping yet either... I hope it'll be shipping before November.
