Rule number two: never let them know that they are fools.
Rule number three: (immortalized as an acronym, the name of Bob's corporation) take your money and run. This is far from an example of the worst. He didn't even give you a line reading. The revelation to me was that if you make Cronkite folksy you get Brinkley. Botttom line, this is run of the mill Kaliban; i.e., brilliant.
When this was performed, imagine if someone said, "in the year 2010 someone will be watching that sketch on their cel phone at 1:05am, and all the jokes will still work." You would think they were crazy.
