    Best Regarts!

    Richard

  • thanks!

  • Found your video trying to find more info about Reverends. I just heard of them and very impressed. Yours is nice. I like the blue WarHawk II HB.

Ever hear of Eastwood guitars? I just found them a second ago and they look pretty cool too!

  • I've read about Eastwood in some guitar magazines and they definitely seem pretty cool. Retro offbrand guitar looks with some modern playability is always a good thing.

  • you look like your not fellin it but not bad

  • I have to be really angry to look like I'm feeling it and then I just end up blasting through pentatonics.

  • ooh i see nice jaM thou keep it up man

  • Will do thanks!

  • sounds great!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Hey man..one thing i noticed...you play the notes well, very well actually..but you dont play the music! Now dont get me wrong im not saying you're bad in any way. I'd just like to see some emotion man! feel that shit...A great guitarist once said (Jimi Hendrix)"It's easy to play the blues...but very hard to feel it". Anyway bro keep up the good work. Look forward to eharing more of ya. Check out my vids if ya like. Again, great job on the video.

  • Thanks for the input! You might check out some of my band videos if you like, the sound quality isn't all that great but you might find some more passion in those.

  • hey man that was some nice improv back there you have great timing and a feel for the blues keep it up man :)

  • Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

  • nice man real nice. you get it man a lot people these days our age just dont i like it keep it up.

  • Thanks!

  • Good work. What guitar are you playing here?

  • Hey sorry I didn't see this earlier, this is an old Reverend Slingshot from when Reverend still made guitars in the USA. Someone took out the original humbuckers before I got it so and i changed those out to larger size p90's made by Harmonic Design.

  • Man, that was a whole lot of fun!

  • Thank you!

  • dam u play good...we should make a funky rock jazz band...

  • Sound good to me!

  • blues without crossing the rock line like most "blues solo" vids on here..fantastic

  • wow this is good!

  • Ive always liked this video. how have you been man, you got some style!!

    Ray

  • your pretty good i am learning about phrasing right now can you give me some pointers or ideas on how to create licks

  • I guess the best thing to know is when not to play, the spaces you leave between notes can say just as much as the notes themselves.

  • BB King style cool, i like the run down at 28 secs, gonna try that

  • very sweet ! .. tasteful and well thought out licks ... great stuff man!

  • Thanks!

  • cool looking guitar.

  • JOEEEEEE!!!!! hahaha its marlo...(obviously.haha) WASSAPPP!!???. i added you on myspace.

  • nice man...

im tryin to learn blues right now ...

    laterrzzz

  • you got it all happening dude

    love the blues

  • Thanks!

  • nice...... wish i could play like that

  • That'd be awesome! Sure man. anything to help me. :)

  • i hate being stuck in the pentatonic blues scale man =( wat other scale were u using? hope u dont mind me asking. :) still needa widen my knowledge!

  • well it was mostly just major and minor pentatonic scales. I've been trying to get out of the pentatonic blues mold too so in this I tried to through in some dominant 7th scales (I think that's what they are called). I could give you tabs for those if you want.

  • Dudes, Dorian man. Rock on

  • man do u have tabs for that man?

  • um Tabs as in Tabs I could give you or are you askin' if I'm looking at Tabs as a play? Either way the answer is no, although if you really wanted a tab of this I could try to make one.

  • u play real well.. but I wanna ask one thing, (dont get me wrong) Are u following something(tabs or string guide) while playing guitar 'cause it seems quite like that. I feel like u checking what u playing on the screen or smthg. Anyway, nice music, good tone..Real well, good luck with the blues ..

  • No I wasn't lookin at tabs or string guides. however I do often fall into the trap of playing licks that i have floating around in my mind rather than hearing what I want to play in my head and trying to get that out on the guitar. Also my method of playing is largely visual, I try to see shapes on the guitar strings in my mind (so I guess you could say I have a string guide, but it's in my head not on my computer). R

  • Oh yeah, thanks for checking my vid out!

  • great solo mate! :)

  • Thanks!

  • damn ur good

at first i tought u had a commando but it has different pickups doesnt it?

  • thanks again. The guitar is a slingshot with harmonic design Z90's. Originally it had P90's but someone fitted humbuckers to it and then I recently installed these newer humbucker size p90's.

  • wow

    custom :)

once i get a job ill be spendin more money on my guitars

  • smooth thing!god job

  • thanks!

  • reverends are handcrafted with only 65 a day in a 3 room factory with only 3 guys working there

the 3 guys that came up with reverends

    i think i might get a jetstream 290

  • Even now that they've outsourced their production. I knows thats how it was when they were made in the usa. Hmm.... The Jestream look sawesome

  • i might get a jetstream but i wanna get one with a wammy that that doesnt go outta tune easily

    u know?

i live close to a waynes world so i ask him

    sry

i could talk about guitar stuff for HOURSSSSS

    and i usually do lol

maybe we could talk more about reverends and shit sometime k?

  • any time

  • awesome

i been eyein' up this jetstream 390 at wayne's place and it's real nice

    go to

    reverendguitars(dot)com

    it's the blue jetstream 390

  • Like it very much, nice tone, nothing but the blues man!

  • Thanks!

  • Excellent playing man. i'm looking at getting a reverend myself

  • Thanks! Yeah reverend makes great guitars. I think they have them all manufactured in Korea now so the prices are great.

  • AHHHH american made all the way

  • I don't know my mexican strat is pretty killer.

  • Do think you can tab out Albert King's Blues band Shuffle, By the way, nice video!

  • You're laid it down really solid... and, like I have done so often.. you sluffed the ending a little. Which was great! Because you smiled and showed us your human side. Art is an expression - not a demonstration. Forget the minor mistakes. If you don't make a mistake every so often you're playing too safe. You expressed yourself well. Good solid blues. Thanks.

  • Hey, That's pretty sweet Joe!
