  • my jaw dropped when he turned the monitor to the side huge ass thing probably has it's own gravitational pull Jeezus!

if that damn thing fell on my hands while i was typing my new nickname would be stubbs...

  • this monitor has 1 billion color!

  • LP2480zx use a one-of-a-kind true 10-bit H-IPS panel (not 8-bit +AFRC like some of the other modern "10-bit" screens).

  • seems to be TFT technology returning back to CRT sizes :-)

BTW, I'm watching this right now on CRT 32bit and colors looks pretty amusing versus another 10bit matrix displays.

  • @xrenube The video is only 8(24)bit though. So what you see is in no way a real representation of the product.

  • You did not take those pictures. Newegg

  • any one else see the how the video is fking up on the right side? maybe they should of used that screen to see if their video was right lol

  • i just have to disllike this, its old and ugly monitor, i would rather get a 3d led tv screen

  • You would probably be the first and last person to use your 3D LED TV for color critical applications...

  • @dribsinep why is that ?

  • That looks like Kim Kardashian's butt! Oh, THAT'S FAT!

  • LOL ... these worth 7 tn panel in price

  • Oh, for fuck's sake! It is NOT "literally one in a billion"! why do Americans never seem to understand what the word 'literally' denotes?

  • I just got this monitor and it's amazing. Got it for $1500, factory ex-demo with 5 hours backlight hours only :D Definitely worth the cost. Hope the rest of you enjoy your shitty TN $200 panels. lol.

  • "It's not bleach-white, you can still see the detail"

Umm, I can see the detail HERE, on my standard 24-bit monitor, on the image after it, being on the LCD, was recorded by some camcoder... Marketing tricks.

  • @Elix17 I thought so to until I worked in DTP. Most monitors have their own ideas of what color and gamma is which is 'good enough' for most things. But monitors like this are calibrated so that what you see on screen is EXACTLY what you'd get if you printed it out. I was looking at this magazine on two monitors and I literally could not see some of the details on the cheaper 24bit monitor. You don't realize how crap most LCDs are until you compare them with high end displays.

  • 100% non-affortable unless you're Bill Gates. I mean $2500?! That much for a display.. There are defenetly similiar displays on the market for a quater of that price.

  • @MrNuun 1) its only 2000

    2) this is not for gamers and kids, this is for professionals - photographers, film editors, etc.

    3) 2 grand is not much if it is the main component of your professional work items.

  • I know its for pro's.. But cmon.. For 2000 you can get a really really really decent pc for photo editing and such. Maybe with a diplay too. For 500 you can get an awsome display for those doing that kind of work.

  • @MrNuun If you work for a large company (say Sony, Miramax, etc.) they are not going to leave a multi million dollar project in the "hands" of a 500 dollar monitor.

  • @MrNuun Not one that does true, print-calibrated color you can't.

  • have a look at the syncmaster 2433.

  • its actually 10 bit color each of the 3 primaries get 10 bit

  • RGB leds! = huge color gamut.

    best thing next to Oled.

  • HP w2408h is better.

  • My monitor is better.

  • I have the feeling that this guy is not subjective. The way he says it every monitor is the best on his own Besides if you want colour use CRT. It's that simple. No professional who needs colour is going to use LCD.

  • Comment removed

  • CRT? Really???

Dude stop living in the past......

  • Actually CRT monitors are still being made and it has been proven that a 22" 1600x1200 CRT has buch better colour than a 1600x1200 LCD

  • but my 25.5" monitor doesn't weigh 70 pounds...

  • yes, there is that but i suppse you won't move it much anyway

  • They still do take up a lot of room though and they hurt my eyes during prolonged use. They are still good, but are quickly becoming obsolete...

  • @Daviddagr8

that's true. CRT has better response time, better color but you face the consequences.. 1st of all it's big, 2nd it's power hungry, 3rd not really stylish, 4th it's old, 5th it's dangerous, anything it can explode infront of ur face.

  • @clintdiamante99 My 17" CRT thinks you're silly.

  • LCD is far more affordable and ergonomic, not to mention that no one uses CRT monitors at home any more so the end result will be more consistent with LCD.

Most importantly, new technology integrated into LCDs - like this one - is outstripping CRTs of any qualitative advantages.

  • does it have aspect ratio control? =/

  • does any1 have any recommendation for me?

    i need a monitor between 22" - 24" (widescreen of course)

but the important thing (which makes it hard to find) is that the screen should be matte

    x(

i have 4 windows in my room

    normal screen is ok too

  • I think you should Check out the Samsung Syncmaster 2493hm... its 24" really nice specs and and most important for you is matte. Its not a lot of money either

  • i adore it

  • not just the monitor is amazing, but the price is amazing too^_^ $1999.98

  • whats with the edges?? it got cut off and theres 2 black strips on its left and right side.

  • Its scaling the images.

  • Also there is alot cheaper and (better monitor then this one) NEC2490 is the best monitor

in the world in price range of 2000/2500 dollars

and it cost only 1000$ amaizing piece of technology!!

  • Most users dont understand that the most imporant part of the pc is THE MONITOR

you look at it all the time the power of

VGA means almost nothing w/o good monitor

you wont get any of the extras of high end

graphic cards/pc ask me with T240 such

waste of money bad colors loss of details

input lag, ghosting, bad viewing angles !!!!

    HORROR!

  • i have HP and hp is the best monitor for clear screen and colour

  • "A billion... with a B!"

  • no its a billion with a z =="

  • no, billion with double D's. (. )( .)

  • I cann only say: Samsung syncmaster 1200NF CRT :> Cheaper and probably bether

  • should i get it for gaming?

  • I was just thinking that while I was watching : )

  • i think ill get this one

  • The colors didn't look like anything special..

    Maybe it's just YouTube..

  • lol not just YouTube itd be your own screen

  • I suppose so.

But they still don't seem like something to invest all that money into -.O

  • well im not investing in this since it wont be practical for me.. but for those PROs that will be able 2 completely utilize this and have the budget for it.. its good i guess.. not only do u get superior colors (really hard 2 see in you tube, try typing TN vs IPS here, search for the vid).. but u get superior viewing angles as well :)

  • Yeah :)

I mean, if you have the money for it, I'd definitely get it. Based on the ratings and reviews it seems like a good product, but also very expensive... Whats the price for it?

  • says the pedofile with no life

  • The reason of its price and quality is that it's an S-IPS panel. Your everyday LCD panel is a TN panel, good for general purpose and gaming but colors are more washed out, especially if you look at it from side angles. So yeah, you won't be buying this to play L4D.

  • When I bought my PC from Costco, the guy showed me the HP 24'' screen. He showed me that I can turn it around but I prefer the ViewSonic or Gateway one. Some screens are for people that like games, graphics, photos, etc.

  • my sister thinks alberts cute

    so do i ; )

  • fuck hp

  • DELL on mind!

  • Dell is way better at making monitors.

  • LMAo dell dont make LCD they just have there name stamped on the product... someone else just makes it for them.

  • @zergdog this is also true with tvs they mostly have the same screen

  • What people don't get is that this monitor is mostly for professionals working in Photoshop. If you listen carefully, he says, "Color critical situations." Most monitors in class cost about the same and sometimes more.

  • Haha, the thing is $2,000

  • such a waste of money, could get 2, 40inch lcd's with that

  • I agree this is a waste of money for most people, and you could build a nice AMD PC, and get a good Monitor for it, and still have a good chunk of money left over, for things like everyday life stuff.

  • Agreed

  • Albert, have you and Bauer received an email from OJ Simpson's attorney?

P.S. I think you should review the LG W3000H-BN

  • u need to come back to tech up date !

  • Damn that's sexy. Thanks guys.

  • that bitch is bad ass

  • some body messed up, i saw this yesterday, and it got reloaded again today?, some one has to keep track of there vids

  • Yeah it was not wide screen so the video was stretched up

  • i can allready imagine myself playing Warhead on that monitor :)

  • :) :) :) ! ALBERT ! :) :) :)

  • for proffesionals

  • I may be loosing it but was'nt this uploaded teh other day?

  • that's true i saw it uploaded yesterday wtf

  • $2000...thats kind of much for a monitor

  • thats a fat monitor lol I would get that if i was doing pictures and photoshop

  • It sounded cool at first cause in the description they called it affordable. I go to tigerdirect and it's $2,599.99 CA... meh

  • I want that screen, amazing specs, but it's kinda slow, but i c why, because its mindblowing insane!

  • i read somewhere that a true "millions colors" LCD would be slower (above 8ms) response time.

so if someone selling you a 16million-colors monitor with 2ms response time, it's probably bogus.

  • most response times are measured from G2G so its irrelevant either way no matter what they post.

  • repost

  • Sounds nice, but also very expensive :(

  • OMFG why do people need a huge monitor like that, just because it can display at a higher resolution and so called better colour when it can be viewed just as good on an older monitor

  • actually some people do need it, people who have a lot of windows open while working :P

  • I've got a 24" screen. Several reasons:

    1) Much more comfortable picture

    2) Biiiig screen allows me to do more multi-tasking

    3) Allows my to blow up my pics without having to zoom in to much

    4) I can hook up my PS3 to it so i don't need a TV to watch my blu-rays or play games.

  • Because its good for photo/video editing. If youve used photoshop/adobe premier youll understand

  • No I don't understand, because I don't use Photoshop

  • you can have all your editing controls spread out more allowing the picture you have open for editing to be bigger its less cramped

  • Right, i see

  • the question is, why wouldn't you need 64 times more color combination and 24" of pleasure?

  • Why would;t you need one, well if you have a colour monitor then you don't need one

  • Very nice video, enjoying the demonstration of the product as usual. Keep it up. :)

  • they re-upload it ?

  • I think it's comical when people try to sell monitors and TVs over the internet or on a TV commercial. If the monitor I'm viewing the video on sucks, the monitor you're selling is going to look just as bad!

  • LOL

  • why did you upload this video 2 times

  • other video the aspect ratio was fuxed, it turned out 4:3 instead of 16:9.

  • welcome back albert !!!!!!!

  • ninja!

  • great video
