Though at the same time, if men want custody, they should also care more for the kids in the every day life, because you must admit that women still spend more time with the kids in general, that's also why the majority of stay at home parents and part-time workers are women.
3. When people will finally realize that taking care of the kids is not primarly the woman's job, women will be able to have careers and men will be able to stay home without being looked down upon. And when men will be able to stay home, they will also get custody more often.

I was all for the feminist movement 40 years ago because I thought women should have the same opportunities as men for getting a career and holding political office. But It was a rude awakening when I was constantly brow beaten and treated like the "oppressor" for every imagined slight. I still think the women's movement was necessary, but I also have to look out for my own best interests because no one will hand me a free pass either. Same here, Pinkk. I recently had to make a judgment call that not many women would make. I emailed my husband's girlfriend. I had to. One of my daughters told me that she'd probably be here the week I came back so I wanted to make sure that if we met, there was no drama. I had to ask her some questions which she balked at right away. And I had to brief her on how things would be running as we are the women in my daughters' lives.

There are many women who aren't faithful to their husbands and file divorce when he least would expect then take everything the man has including their children and then he has no choice but to pay child support. I have personally witnessed this several times. I saw a young man 23 year old get his life ruined spending more than 16 years of his life behind bars over a young girl then found out he spent all that time there in vain due to a complete lie while she lived it up the whole time he was there. I was all for the feminist movement 40 years ago because I thought women should have the same opportunities as men for getting a career and holding political office. But It was a rude awakening when I was constantly brow beaten and treated like the "oppressor" for every imagined slight. I still think the women's movement was necessary, but I also have to look out for my own best interests because no one will hand me a free pass either. I want to point out something. THere are men getting passes also, by virtue of them being men. I can't say how many because I know only about 20 who have used that excuse. "I did this because that's what men do." (whether it's cheat, hang out and drink heavily, or beat a woman.lol) A lot is excused for them also. I know some women who use the "I'm a momma and I'm a strong black woman" when they aren't strong, nor do they act like mothers. The stereotypes hit us all at some point.

I think that much of it is an internet phenomenon. With the advent of the internet, there was suddenly a broad interaction with people you wouldn't otherwise encounter, and grievances were voice with the comfort of anonymity. That's what I was getting at. We can only give our own personal anecdotal evidence when it comes to cases like "How did I end up with these kinds of people in my life?" What I hear in some of the Men's movement videos here (including BMV) is that they never mention that black men are in charge of choosing who they spend time/ the rest of their lives with also. ..I (THANK GOD) happend into finding a good man when I was 20 ...and I'm divorcing him soon (probably). I won't add him to the list of bad choice dudes I picked to hang with though. He was more important than that. But I could give you a list of guys I wish I'd never laid eyes on.

at the end of the day black people can ill afford to choose to be with people based off of looks. we choose the fine girl or guy and close our eyes and hope for the best. then we look for excuses when the miracle fails to happen.

To choose people based off of looks is just as smart as choosing someone based off of how much money they make per year. You may yeild a quality LOOKING person or a MONETARILY stable person, but at the end of the day if that pretty/handsome/rich person doesn't have character or even an idea of what it takes to be REAL... why waste time?

More men need to be made aware about what men's rights are really about. Unfortunately, many of them have been feminized to the point of being completely brainwashed. Others are just un/misinformed, and can still be enlightened.

Feminism is anti-family by nature, so if a man is truly a proponent of traditional family structure, then he MUST be pro-men's rights.
Too many women these days are submerged in feminism that is now running almost three generations deep, so if they don't embrace traditional family values and gender roles, they will eventually ruin any relationship they enter. Even if her mate is a role-reversed mangina type, it wtill won't work, because neither the man or woman embraces their natural role.
