Did you notice that when Bill brought up religion and mentioned Jesus that fat stupid bastard asked: "what jesus the person"? Of course he wasn't talking about Jesus the fucking person you cock sucking moron. And in this video, when that third caller just wants to talk to this obese hillbilly he calls out "all right" at the end and this asshole calls back "far right" like the innocuous prick that he is.
"Bill Hicks final performance," said the host. And, he was performing at the "Last Stop." Life is a crazy subtle thing. But then again, like he said "it's just a ride." So as long as we get out our passions and truths out somehow, when it is time to carry on we can with no problem. Although Bill seemed sad at some parts during this interview, I think he remained true to his philosophy.
"You know all that money we spend on weapons and defense every year? Trillions of dollars. Instead, if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded ... not one ... we could as one race explore inner and outer space together in peace, forever." - Bill Hicks
If I had one person who I would want to bring back to life it would be Bill. I really, bitterly believe this guy is a tremendous loss to this fucked up planet. More than ever, which seems to be always the now, this guy absence in like a massive hole in society, such a striking man with a bravery that would bring a lion to its knees.
"I think there's no difference between good music and good comedy, its entertainment... and entertainment is the suspension of time and space so that you realize your true nature which is spaceless and timeless" - Bill Hicks
“Last time I was on live TV they couldn’t censor me so they were taking shots at me with silencers.” one of the most clever/badass lines he ever said. nice one off-the-cuff Bill!
this was just months before his death. he was in serious pain and even though, he was ill, he performed as long as he could.
personally, i wouldn't doubt that he got his stomach cancer from all the god damn stress he endured from all the dives he played. stress will bring about cancer faster than anything. he had said all he could say and tried to get his message to the world. now we have to carry the torch.
They fucking killed him didn't they? He didn't touch any drugs till age 21 ut dead at 32! Can you imagine what he would be saying about todays society? It's a shame that in America it didn't take off for him and his last interview was on public access. I think he knows if we given a chance like he was in the UK then he would have taken off in his homeland. At least it meant in his last interview he could really be himself. You were funny as fuck mate! Bill i miss you man you were a genius fella.
they emperor wears no clothes but he doesnt like to be told it. pure genius reminds me of our our recent leaders. i guess no change unless you consider bailouts change i guess they are chump change
@friendofsyd - you think so? I think the 90's are full of bullshit and terrible art ... Music died in the 80's and 90's. By that I mean of course mainstream music died. Good music became alternative music that nobody wanted to hear, and the radio and TV got infiltrated by bullshit.
I'm from Croatia, so you can imagine that my sources of Bill's mterial are limited to the internet. Could anyone tell me where and how I can get Bill's comedy albums.
to the guy who hates christians I just want to say that true followers of the teachings of Christ . meet in quiet places and do not judge, A true christian would not be found preaching on TV, Unfortunatly our religen has been infiltrated and hijacked to make people hate us so please dont fall for that .There is a huge difference those ppl dont represent Christ
The Bible was not always written. First it was transfered by word of mouth, and it was reinterpreted and modified to fitt the current era and the current age. The problem happened when they wrote the thing down and were unable to do any significant modifications. As soon as you write it down, there are bound to be some morons that are SURE that it is the EXACT word of God. I belive in God, I don't belive in the church, any church. I would ban every form of organized religion-for-profit crap.
as a life long bill hicks fan i have to say it warms my heart to hear him say such positive things about how he was recieved in england, i'm glad he was suported and appreciated for the comic genius he was in the larger venues such as the Dominion theatre.....he will be sadly missed but not forgotten.
That evokes mixed emotions in me. On the one hand I think it's great the UK embraced him so well, but on the other, it's very depressing that he had to cross the Atlantic just to get the decent theatre gigs he deserved. We were lucky we got a piece of his short life, but the US entertainment industry had gold right on their doorstep and turned their noses up at him. Shame.
Since you experience a moment of truth
Since you know the state of presence
Since there was no questions and no answers
Since God is not a concept
You have the freedom of choice
