SONG : " ANNA ( Go With Him ) " by Arthur Alexander ....... My God when this episode came out that damn AL's HMMMM was in my freakin' head for weeks .... i looked like a total idiot walkin' around goin' HMMM HMMM HIMMM ....... but most people laughed cause they knew where it came from !! ...... LOL / HAHAHAHA ......
@shamar669 Arthur Alexander wrote the song although it is titles "ANNA" go to him) Art sings "go with him" it's Art's song he can do what he wishes with it. it could have been a typo also. in 1958 The Edsels from Campbell OH rec. "Rama Lama Ding Dong" but mislabeled as Lama Rama Ding Dong (Dub 2843) & it wasn't until it's re-issue in 1961 (Twin records No.#700)did they place the words in the correct order.
@ThinKitty2 no because at the end they play the song & it is a black man singing that man is Arthur Alexander "ANNA" 1962, read my other comments. Bobby Vee became famous because he sounded like Buddy Holly. Vee sounds nothing like the great black singers he is good he just can't sing black, very few whites can. The Teardrops from NYC in 1954 recorded "The stars are out tonite" they sounded black,The Contenders,The Velvatones to name a few had this ability.
@ThinKitty2 furthermore "ANNA" "go to him" is based on a 1-6-4-5 chord progression bobby vee's dis-similar song is like a 1-3-4-1-5 or w/e don't like it.
"it's Art's song he can do what he wishes with it." Ok but what the hell U talkin it to me ? I know that title is "...TO..." and said that to people who writes wrong title. That's all.
@kinolek18 - Arthur Alexander both wrote and recorded this song. He told me it was written to his wife at the time. The Beatles later covered it. In the episode AL FOUND the record in the end and it was Anna ( Go With Him ).

@Rasy2kG : Bought the record for 60 bucks,.and Al left the record on the table after he danced with Peg from that record. Then Kelly and her boyfriend(Who was a pizza man) were eating pizza on the couch when her boyfriend put his feet on the table and broke Al's record in half. Oh nothing ever seems to go Al's way. But he is the best!!
my friend tod ay at the bar askedif i had ever heard of this song, i said when i get home i will look it up. google hmm hmm him and got this and i wanted to punch her in the face. as soon as i said her name she was laughing.
I can totally relate to this. It drives you bonkers! The punishment in Hell will not be fire and brimstone but people having songs on the tip of their tongues but they cant remember the name! HAHA
