@SSJ5John I think it's aimed at both the so called 'Royalist' paramilitaries AND the IRA. The "Zombie" here reflects a type of McCarthyist paranoia which says: "if you disagree with me you must be on the other side".

It's refreshing to hear someone getting passionate about being caught in the middle yet not insighting hatred and revenge as so many old Irish Rebel/Orange Men songs do. "Can't you see it's not me, it's not my family in your head you are fighting?"
