trolololo "stepmania players suck at Guitar Hero, and Guitar Hero players suck at stepmania" - doesn't work with me and everyone i know. also playing sm with keyboard is lame. i play the violin so playing sm with keyboard makes it so damn easy... as well as gh is (u know... fingers) but the real challenge is to play Dance Pad/Mat (call it as u want). to dance a song with 11, 10 or even 9 feet... that's a big deal thou.

You can't really compare the two games since they are so different.

They seem like the same thing, but it's actually pretty dif, I.E. stepmania doesn't have star power.

1-I don't think either is harder than the other, because likewise I can say the PowerPill is uber hard, so is TtFaF on Expert, what I was TRYING to imply is that the games work much differently, so you can't really say one is harder than the other.

2-Star Power does effect it, you gain rock meter faster if in Star Power mode, just sayin

actually stepmania or DDR are a lot harder than GH, specially because u use your feet and you get a lot more tired, i have to say that i gain a few pounds while playing GH, mostly cause i had to do nothing but to sit on my coach and play, at least i mastered on GH, now i'm burning those extra punds with DDR

Ok i played FFR until it recently closed down and was 112th overall ranked with 1.2 years playing, so from that i couldnt of been to bad, i also play stepmania which tbh i dont think im too bad at either cause its technically the same game.

Saying that people who are good DDR and Stepmania are bad at Guitar Hero is a baseless and ignorant claim. If you've played one rhythm game, you can pretty much pick up another rhythm game much more easily.

I started with DDR and Stepmania, which I play Doubles Heavy now. Next came Guitar Hero, which I've cleared Expert careers in most versions and am generally good at. Then I delved into more Japanese Rhythm games like Pop'n music and IIDX. And I'm pretty good at those.
