QT diff guards would help here making the diffs less like an anchor, the real problem is the tyre size though, we've all been there though.

Patrol is the only japanese 4x4 that has incorporated a friction rear diff lock since the beginning of its production until latest models. Defender does not, and that is a big difference when you are off roading, even when Defender use transfer lock, is not the same than having lock on diffs.
