hey guys i got this game for my toshiba A200 laptop, i can play it very well on low, though, after about 5min of gameplay the whole game freezes... i have asked a friend he said u need a motherboard update, but then he went offline before i could ask him for the link.

i have got driver detective but it costs money... any other way i could get the drivers? thanx :D

lol t1337 ur a retard, just cos its Dx10 doesnt mean Very High is going to set. It just allows for generally better looking visuals and allows the Very High settings to be enabled.

fact is about the 9600 series is that the 8800 GT SC from EVGA will actually beat out the new 9600 in performance, check the nvidia website for specs you'll see the difference but im glad i have my EVGA 8800 SC :] and cant wait to SLI that baby

the 9600 is worth buying, for all the people that don't own a 8 series but want a high performance BUDGET card then the 9600 is the way to go, yes the 8800GT is better but it also costs more, around £50+ more depending on where you buy and the manufacturer....

but on that note i would recommend people to get the 8800 GTS 512, in some cases it can beat the GTX, and it'll be a great future card, the 9800 just simply put won't be needed for awhile, so i hope nvidia don't release it anytime soon.

i played this game with high settings and no AA and 1204x 7 xxx something with 20 - 35 fps with my 8600gts so you don't realy need a super computer for this game

Hmmm, why don't you turn off AA and then turn all the settings onto at least high,, you should actually be able to play it with most settings on very high, if you just turn the shaders and post processing on medium and everything else on high, and lower the resolution to 1280 x 1024 your system should run it just fine...

I don't think people should speed so much money for one game. Except crysis every game runs perfectly with my 8800gts 512 mb. I'll better buy two cards over a period of 2 years, then 1 card, which has to be replaced after 2-3 years too anyways^^ Don't you agree?

Have you been hiding in a cave since since Crysis came out CowPuncher? There's a DX10 config edit for XP. In other words, DX10 on DX9. So he could be playing on xp or vista.

Its not DX10 on DX9 man... its just a few tweaks. It's nothing like what crysis really looks like at very high in DX10. Ppl like who just like to trick yourself into thinking it looks the same. I bet you've never played it on very high in DX10... u would have a different opinion.

An 8 core processor would be a gigantic waste of money. No multi threaded apps out yet really. Two is more than fine for today's games. Besides, you can't clock quad cores nearly as good as you can the dual core CPUs. But yes, the 9k series of Nvidia cards will be impressive. Able to run DX 10.1 as well.

The 'true' 9k series cards will support DX10.1. The 9600 and the 9800GX2 aren't what you need to be looking at. Just wait a while. They should hopefully be out next year.

I really don't know why they released the 9600GT, I personally think that the 9600GT should be the 8600GT, and the 9800GX2 should just be an 8800GX2, these new cards don't deserve to have their names changed to the next gen of cards, they should all still remain in the 8 series, as they don't have any new tech that the 8 series has, apart from a smaller fabrication process...

i played this on my amd x2 4400+, 2gb ram, and 8800 gt 512 mb,the game run fine on dx9, 1280x1024 high settings, just onthis mission in the video, i got glitches all around, there`s lots of structures around at this level

I have a sapphire 3870 and it plays crysis with everything on high and shaders on very high @ 1440x900 no aa. Going to overclock it soon to get a peformance increase.

u can download the demo which is the first level of the game but if ur PC can run it then get the whole version. I have and it runs smoothly on all high settings ;) On a 8800 GTS 320mb which i found hard to belive in Dx10.
