  • Eastwood is a HUGE jazz fan so I guess he wanted Fielding rather than Schifrin to do the music. However, Fieldings music does travel on to the wrong side of 'Squeaky bum Jazz' at times.

  • I like this opening because it is more like the next two movies. You notice that the intros for the first three movies drastically deviate from each other.

  • Harry was rockin the 70's, first 3 movies in 5 years.

  • Funny, I like Lalo Schifrin as well, but I prefer Fielding's work for The Enforcer. The stark contrst added to the movie itself. I believe that they should have changed composers for each addition, keep it fresh.

  • I love this opening so much that sometimes i just watch it without watching the movie....It's the music and scenery and the old school feeling ...I love it

  • @bjroberts65 yeah, good stuff and no CGI!

  • Too Jazzy. Is this a movie about a saxophonist or a cop?

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG.

WOW They're riding in a car. What's next? The scene where Clint scratches his nuts and yawns?

  • @0spiker just like a real cop!

  • @jbond5150

Yet there's a reason movies don't reflect reality.

  • @0spiker Yeah - but they were riding without their seat belts on.

Those guys were living life on the edge! XD

  • @apk1215 Damn it! You gave away the plot!!

  • @0spiker You're boring.... real boring

  • I miss Lalo Schifrin's music in this film. I normally like Jerry Fielding's music, but not in this movie.

  • the movie opens with a smoking hot blonde in platforms and hotpants that is hitchiking... I hoped to see her :-(

  • The Harry movies always had the classiest music!

  • @kurtb8474 Yes, they did!! Jerry Fielding took over from Lalo Schifrin on this one. I always liked the location filming they did for Dirty Harry's movies. This opening even has SF under overcast skies. The Embarcadero Freeway was still there. The KGO helicopter was a nice touch, too.

  • Anyone have the closing/ending music piece of The Enforcer,in the last scene, where he's standing over Tyne Daley?

  • Her char did die at the end right? Such a sad ending for her but then not many close to Dirty Harry survived eh?

  • "Take a left here, Harry...

There's a jam up on Bay!!!"

    Class.

  • Love this tune, does anyone have the fast rooftop chase song to post?

  • @tonilrogers I do, but I'll have to dig up the record; I'm not sure where it is at the moment.

  • Lalo Schifrins da man!

  • The only Dirty Harry movie where Lalo Schifrin did not do the music.

Not bad, but Schifrin could've done better, IMO.

  • @Watcher3223 Why didn't Lalo do the music for this one?

  • @SheriffTankStoner

    Beats me.

  • Clint Eastwood is GOD!

  • THAT goes without saying!

    :)

  • I forgot the t. :(

  • Clin Eastwood IS Dirty Harry
