the answer is if there are any bands that are as clever as Fishbone, they will have a hard time competing with the corporations who don't know jack shit about talented bands anymore. Great musicians are having a difficult time surviving because the crap musicians, rappers, and so on, don't have to do anything but look good, if you can call it that. I ain't teaching anything new, if you like FB you know what I'm talking about.

First band I ever saw in concert. I had an injury so I stood up in the mezzanine. By the second song Angelo had somehow climbed over the audience into the mezzanine :-)

GG was pretty intense live, but imagine 6 or more GG's on stage that were totally slamming musicians, that is what I'm talking about. I've seen fishbone live scores of times. I had there tape as a kid (it was the 80s), I thought it was okay, but when I saw them play in 1991 at lollapalooza I was freaking sold. The are a totally kinetic act that really can't be compared to too many other acts out there, because they are strong in so many areas. Gotta love teh Fishbone.

I've seen em' all...Led Zeppelin, Stones The Who, Pink Floyd, Talking Heads,ZZ Top and a bunch of others. No band had more energy than the bone! The closest would be James Brown. What does that tell you?

In France we have a band that can be compared to Fishbone : Raoul Petite . The singer Christian "Carton" Picard is as Madd as Angelo ! They started on '79 - like Fishbone - and they are "toujours vivants" !
