Some interesting things going on in the perspective exterior elevations, but beyond that, it's uninspiring. Whoever did the interiors has no design sense. Oof. Almost lost my dinner.

The interior of this house is clutterered and tacky. A total waste of this space. Clearly they don't get the egyptian mindset at all. And what's with the statue? Look upon my works, ye mighty-- and despair.

I love this home at least the inside doesn't look like an American tornado trailer. They have beautiful hieroglyphs and a lot of the furniture looks like exact replica's from ancient tombs. These people knew what they were doing for that I applaud them! And yes I am American too, I just know how to appreciate other cultures.

Interesting, and While a bit on the tacky elegant side, would not mind a vacation get away there as a novelty. but a little impracticle. Is it solar powered, what kind of ventilation system does it have, i saw no bedroom or laundry facillities. Going to look at dome homes now. love the glass ware though. fount it to be rather regal.

To put this into perspective, the owner/builder of this house, Onan, also built and owned a "theme" motel that featured jail cells for rooms, and a building adjacent to it where each room was a different theme. I think his middle name is Tacky.

Very 80` decor. It needs a little bit of work to clean it up and sleek it out.

However for the 70-80`s it was fabulous and a statement. The outside is very impressive and imaginative. I like dreamers liek this.

The first Time as i saw this Building in a Doku Film in the 80`s. The wife told us, that she makes some tours für Money thru the house, to get at least a little income to pay the big costs for the Gold Cladding of the Pyramid. From witch Date is your Film ?

This Golden Pyramid House is located in Wadsworth, Illinois right outside of Gurnee near Great America Theme Park. It is 24 karat gold plated! I used to always see this house as we would drive past on the highway, but no one could ever get the real story behind the house and the people who live there.
