heya, i'm not sure if i'm seeing this properly, is that 13/2 of oxygen ??? i'm in the UK and have been taught that you can't have fractions of atoms, molecules or compounds
@MrRock356 That's right, 13/2. I agree. When I teach new students I typically have them only use whole numbers. As the course goes on, I give them flexibility in balancing. In general, you will find people who do both. From what I remember, this problem is from another source.
