Get this-because my husband & I only have 1 child we were told we'd have to have THREE more kids in order to qualify for assistance because they tack on 10k per extra person in the home over 3 people in order to qualify, in order to meet the income requirements.  This is the screwed up system we have. We don't qualify because they say we make too much but if we had more kids we'd qualify in a heartbeat. W.T.F??

Almost every person in video is overweight. Must still have enough food. When things get authentically bad, people become rail thin from lack of food. Look at historical photos of the great depression. On a bigger picture: You've all heard of the economic boom in India and in China. Every dollar they get in American subcontracted tech or manufacturing jobs, is one dollar Americans like the Garza's LOSE in exported tech or manufacturing jobs. Maybe poor Americans will have to move to China.

ok now this isn't something new. It's been going on for about 10 or more years now. It's been hard to get a room at a motel due tothe people that have made it home. Even paying by the month.

You are very right! Why is this just news now? Perhaps because until now, it was assumed that only "losers" lived like this? There are a lot of economic warning signs that started as early as 30 years ago that could have told us where we were headed, but the media pretended they did not exist.
