One time at a high rise fire I walked into a room on the twentyfifth floor and found nothing but a foot...A HUMAN FOOT! We never did figure out where it came from so I put it in my pocket and left.
Another reason to never use the elevator is because often times fire can destroy the electrical system in the building and cause the elevator to get stuck or it can burn through one of the wrong walls and burn the cable apart causing the elevator to no longer run and even cause it to crash depending on how high you are and then you will be instaintly killed and if not ringing the emergency unit is pointless because there will be no one there to answer. So you are just left there to burn!!! OUCH!
i think that the Public Announce system should be put in the new world trade center buildings once its built at the command Post if an event of a out of control fire, etc Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Did Sal (I'm an F -UP) Marquez produce this video?!? Remember the fire from October 2003 in the Cook County Building, the one where a group of people got left to die in the 21st floor stair-well BY CFD?
@wnaburgencesante - so everybody else that got out of the building was saved, but CFD decided to just leave these six people in the building? the people that passed away we not trained properly on fire safety & evacuation, and should have been evacuated as part of a joint effort by safety personnel that worked within the building. there was no way for the CFD to know the definite amount of people working in the building that day. don't place blame.
