  • nice lookin' cowboy.

  • It's so beautiful it brings me to tears everytime!

  • @aprilsoria33 me too! have you seen stacy westfall's too? wow.

  • Simply amazing - a man among men!

  • Oh God! Please do not think that I meant the "Horse Power" video where the horse gets hit by a car! I meant Pablo Hermoso Medoza.

  • If you love the best of horsemanship, I urge you to watch "horsepower" on utube. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES!!!

  • amazing

  • amazing amazing amazing i wish it was as easy as it looks

  • To KukuNut18: Isn't it more difficult to ride bareback if you're a guy?

  • To "The Princess Parizade:" Leave it to a "princess" to never be satisfied!

  • para mi esto es sorprendente

  • let's see him do it without spurs and I'll be impressed

  • @ThePrincessParizade He isn't using the spurs in a harmful manner. He is using the spurs to give specific signals. If you look closely, the spurs are hardly in any contact with the horse's sides, except when he is asking the horse for a specific movement. If the rider is capable and knows how to use them, spurs are not harmful or dangerous to the horse.

  • love this man and his horse is wife is soooo lucky!

  • @captainspanky92 He isnt married lol

  • Beautiful animal and damn fine work, but I still like Stacy Westfall and Wizard's Babydoll better.

  • Um If I ever won the lottery I would buy that horse!

  • hhaha the horse doesn't even know he doesnt have a bridle

  • CLINTON ANDERSON IS THE BEST!!!!!

  • Aussie Aussie OI OI OI! whoop Whoop!

  • Just amazing...what an incredible talent he has with horses.

  • And his horses look like they're having fun! And I have to say CA looks perty HOT doing this ;-)

  • @rescuefire Went to one of his clinics a few months ago and almost melted when he shook my hand. He's super sexy and his accent is amazing!

  • I have a question about the boots on the back legs. I can't remember what they're called. Anyway, when the horse does a sliding stop doesn't the sand get in there and cause rubs?

  • Just went to his walkabout tour in ohio :)

  • that looks like fun!!

  • Morganlee6 , you so crazy, but funny :)

  • How do i get this man to marry me ?!?!?

  • Love this.. trying to train my horse to be ridden bridleless, starting by keeping the bridle on but using my other aids.. my riding instructors hate that I am in the habit of using my legs and seat and no reins! Only thing is, i struggle to slow my horse down.. i can, but he might canter/gallop for an extra 20 seconds or more which is an extremely slow response.. any tips?

  • @kezzaFIDDY you might have to make ur switches in weight a little more dramatic before your horse gets used to your cues. Watch clintion's change of seat when moving from gallop to canter, he just sits up a few degrees but to start off with, make yours a little more dramatic driving your seat bones in before the horse is really paying attention. Also, practice the trot to walk and walk to halt a ton of times until you think your horse can do them most of the time before going into the canter

  • @TheMunchkin15sec Thankyou for the detailed response! :)

  • @TheMunchkin15sec I don't know if anyone's said this. If you watch his hands they're doing exactly what they'd be doing if he was holding a rein.

  • 9 People do Parelli.... 342 People do Clinton Anderson ;)

  • he was really having to push his horse at the start

  • 9 people do Parelli ;)

  • 9 people must have had a muscle spasm when they tried to click the 'like' button.

  • Beautiful :o)

  • Yeah ur right, I just saw video of her riding TWO horses brideless at the SAME TIME. LOL

  • Lorim8810@ first of all why the hell are you commenting on this if you don't like Clinton Anderson that's just straight common sense you dumb ass and second I would like to know what trainer you listen to or even if you have been around trainers at all because you speak complete and total non sense ... Rollkur is an extreme form of trying to force your horse to collect ... What Clinton shows in this video is the softness and respect that deiz has for his owner. Look up what you are trying to ar

  • All reiners should ride without bridles! Wonder what he used on this horses head that it won't DARE lift it? Now let's take off the spurs! very good riding and training.

  • Sorry, wrong video....pleae disreagrd the last post!

  • Do any of you people know how dangerous a horse like this is????? Clinton is giving him another chance not to end up dog food.....there are too many good ones out there to think about this one, but his owner and Clinton feel he is worth it...good for them! Some idiot rider ruined this guy somewhere, and Clinton is trying to fix it!

  • This is horsemanship at it's finest!!!!! I have seen this man's work and he is amazing.....period.

  • all i have to say to all of those tree huggers out there is that if you think he is violent and is a horrible train why do you think he has had the most success... he is only stern when he needs to be and he has the most respectuful horses that i know.. i would like to see you guys and your relationship with your horses i bet they are the most pushy horses out there .. and you probably couldnt get one cent for them..

  • This is westernriding !!!

  • lovelovelove :D:D:D:D:D great video manymanythanks ;)

  • His horse is Extremely talented!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LORIM8810 Please do not confuse suppleness, the applying to pressure and the horse giving to that pressure with rollkur. If one were to fully understand and study Clinton's method one would see it is neither unnatural nor abusive. The rider merely asks the horse to bridle up and then releases to that pressure. The horses trained by this wonderful method are taught to have natural collection through suppleness.

  • @horsesrockkdv tell me what collection is,how it works and how to achieve it and I will give you and answer.

  • Best Horse ...

  • @LORIM8810 Then I would like to see you try it, even if it is a pattern, Clinton still had to work with his horse to get Diez to respond to him like that.

  • @hopeful9723 Have been there and done that I have been training horses for 18 year hun worked all kinds of horses and been into the mind of them I take the mindless pattern away and show them there own power that has been underneath them. man has taken this away I show them there freewill and injoy giving it back.I love a wild horses with eyes open to feelings. This horse has no feelings or strong passons in her job a strong step and a powerful canter but man is afired of freewill and stomps onit

  • @LORIM8810 yes, but have you worked with this horse? How could you know this horse without working with him? I may not have the experience that you do, and I love to see a horse having fun as well, but I still would like to know how you personally know this horse.

  • @hopeful9723 K I will let u in on a secret that will open your eyes to the world of horse training.See I have seen it all in show and natural horsemanship I went to school when I was young for horsemanship, worked with famous trainers and horses that are worth more then a your house,Sadly I seen behind the seen and have seen horses to build up man ego's.I have met people who have worked with Monty Roberts. This man uses a method called Rolkur to train the horse to bridle up if u don't know >>>

  • @LORIM8810 Yes I know what rollkur is, but have you worked with Clinton? not everyone treats their horses the same as the next. I have not worked with him, so I can't personally say what he does, but have you?

  • Respond to this video...>>> If you don't know what Rollkur is then google it or youtube it, nobody knows what it dose to a horse.Well what Mr. Anderson has done to his horse is this, he bridled his horse by abuse causing a fixation to his horse by tying his head to his chest to make him hold his breath and then released the pressure causing the brain to slow down do to oxygen deprivation this gives the horse only one option do it or die, just like a loin on a zebra just watch him.

  • @LORIM8810 .B.S. you do not know . I do . All of my horses do this and it is not abuse .....You are stupid

  • @TheAmysaya then worship your God of horsemanship I don't care,in fact you need him to teach you to listen to your horse because you fall on deaf ears the horses looks to you as a devouring loin of the wilderness.

  • @LORIM8810 what does rollkur have to do with anything ? i dont get it ? diez head is not even as close to his chest as horses that use rollkur .. he is collecting but his chin is not touching anywhere neer his chest

  • @taelersoceana123 don't know what collecting is? Don't what it achieves then don't post or post in your saddle because you don't know what it's for,or mean's nether.

  • @LORIM8810 why are you watching this if you dont like his methods...stick to your own stuff that you say you do. clinton is one of the best trainers and his methods are amazing. You should put a video up on here so we can see you ride a horse bridleless. and I dont see how hes using rollkur when he has nothing tyed to his horses head and i never seen him use something to tie his horses heads to there chest.

  • @2012barrelracer Have u ever heard of the words FREEDOM OF SPEECH someone posted this shit so I commented on it with MY OWN OPINION so why do u care what I think or do Im not in the publics eye here or making millions like this dumb ass is off of dumb asses like u who cares. I merely ran across this video.Let just guess barrel racer your horses wears a tie-down,tosses hes/her head, has under run heels long toes or has a old pulled suspensory.

  • @LORIM8810, 2012barrelracer was just giving their opinion too, just trying to give you food for thought. You're getting worked up over being criticized when you criticize others.

  • Now, everytime I see him riding with a bridle I know it's just there for show.

  • Love him! Seriously, he is my IDOL. Coolest person in the world. <3

  • ugh , you are my idol ! :) i love how he rides, so gentle, but the horses know who's boss ! its my dream to ride like him ! :)

  • He's what Michael Jordon is to Basketball, Serena to Tennis, Tiger to Golf, Michael to Music, and CLINTON to HORSES. They will be all tuuf to top their reign AND no one Can REIGN like CLINTON ANDERSON. I mean Come on, who Can Reign with no Reigns??????????????? Clinton's not from Australia , Hes Gotta be from another Planet. AMAZING.

  • @marcus5ryan Stacy Westfall is pretty damn good too.

  • @marcus5ryan um stacy westfall can she can reign with no reins and NO SADDLE completely bare back. you should check it its pretty amazing.

  • @marcus5ryan umm stacy westfalll can rein without reins or a saddle.

Clintons not from Australia , Hes Gotta be from another Planet. AMAZING.

  • Someday, SOMEDAY I'm gonna make my riding look that effortless while being so masterful. Well, a girl can dream at least. =) LOVE this video!

  • Clinton is amazing!!

  • Love this and thanks to Clinton my relationship with my horse Tibbett is better than ever!!!

  • that is amazing

  • Ekk! Great patternand oh sooo AWESOME! Loves it briddleless :) Clinton is AMAZING with Diaz! What a team.

  • I Love you Clinton, you are a very intelligent person. Your horsemanship is FABULOUS!! I used it on a Filly, Quarter Horse, and she is very respectful to us!! Thank you so much Clinton, for being you!!!!

  • ive learned a lot by just watching these videos and i have tried to teach my horse and i to work like this and truth is they are a lot more responsive to you this way than when forced with a bridle and bits at least for me i have done this with the horse i trained and m other and they picked it up quick and i plan to do it with me yearling on his second birthdy i hope it works

  • This is by far one of my favorite videos of all time... I can watch this over and over and it still takes me breath away. Not only is this difficult, but it shows complete unity between the two of them... She has complete trust in him and he has it in her. What a wonderful pair. Inspiration at its best. Thanks for making this... I love it!

  • @isaidmootwo u no its to bad u decided to comment on this cuz it was long enough ago i dont even remember y im getting insulted.

  • 5 people missed the like button

  • its amazing how he only touches the horse's neck and he spins! And even the roll backs!

  • That is epic... XD

  • ok if u are starting your horse young, GOOD FOR U!! Cause then when it is 4 yrs old ift wont kill you, look at race horses, they start galloping at age 1, I dont want to hear that is going to damage a horse if you start them young cause you wont, plenty of people do it and there horses are amazing

  • @katelynslmr well the race horses start slow at 18 monthes old with slow short workouts, i start mine at two but ive seen people use them too hard and damage joints and give them a sway back because of using them too hard at an age where they are developing

  • This is absolutely great:)

  • Goldencowgirl, do you normally ride with spurs? If so, take them off. Your horse is ringing his tail because he is constantly being ribbed, maybe unknowningly. Most of the time a horse rings his tail is because a spur is on him. I also believe Clinton is a GREAT horse trainer! But, did you notice everytime Diez changed leads he twitched his tail? Clinton obviously had a spur on him. Similiar to Stacey Westfall rides, years and years of the same routine for both horse and rider over and over.

  • WOW! Beautiful horse and Clinton Anderson, One of Queenslands (Australia) best exports! The only other people I've seen do such a beautiful, balanced & supple reining run as that are Pat Parelli (USA) & Phil Rodey (Australia) ... True partnership!

  • how come people cant have a favorite trainer in this world?

  • If you all go to a clinic, you can talk to Shana about riding dressage. She told me once that she was outside at an event, warming up her horse. All the Englich riders came over and asked which event she in, they were worried. She told them she wasn't! She was demoing for this Australian guy...

  • BEFORE YOU HATE study into his methods a little more, before you jump to a ignorant small and narrow minded conclusion

  • this method works, i used to hit my horse and such, and all i got was confusion and pain. now my horse is so disconnected from me i cry at night because she hates me, her ears fly back and her eyes get white. She always expects me to hit her. I dont do that unless she kicks, bites, or practiclaly punches me with her nose. I now use the no hit way, and its starting to get my horse back

  • @isaidmootwo are you stupid. do you not see were a horses eyes are placed. There placed on the side while yours are placed on the front. this means there prey, and your predator. Pain will only BREAK your horses spirit into being a push button pony

  • IF YOU THINK THATS ITS NOT IMPRESSIVE. THEN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT START HATING, IF ANYBODY WANTS TO HATE, I WOULD LOVE ABSOLUTLY ADORE TO SEE A VIDEO OF THEM DOING THE SAME.

  • I love clinton, hes so awesome :D

  • I'm sure this is nothing that hasn't been said before as this is an old video, but this is AMAZING! The connection between Clinton and Diez is obvious, and the horse seems happy to do as his rider asks.

  • PARELLI SHOULD STICK TO MAKING TIRES!

  • crazy how his horse still holds a great head position, looks like hes still pushing through the bridle without even having one...really cool to watch

  • MUCH more informative than the Dr Phil of horsies Parelli!

  • @lckt13 AMEN to that!

  • i love this horse.

  • I cannot criticize anybody or compare one clinician to another for an awesome ride like this..................I envy that they can do this kind of skilled riding! and of course, some will do it better than others...........but just to be able to do it all should be applauded!!!!!!!!!

I love Clinton........don't always agree with everything in his philosophy of training horses..........but still a great rider and trainer!

    ..........and I am a "tree hugger too".............LOL!!!

  • clinton is the man

  • This guy is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great video

  • This is incredible.

  • Good horsie:)! I am starting to train mine brideless. We are at the stage where he has just a rope around his neck. He can jog, and lope and do circles. We are getting there!!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Imagine the years he took to train Diez to be this responsive. Years worth it though. That horse truely trusts and respects him. Clinton Anderson is by far the best trainer I've ever seen and I'm in love with his method. Amazing.

  • and doesn;t this music fit the horse's paces so well!!

  • I think he trained that horse to do hand calls where it is like he has reins but he doesnt i think its amazing how he can train horses like that you can watch and he does the same thing you are supposed to with reins!!!

  • this is soo AMazing!! I wish i could have a horse to trust bridless :))

  • man, I wish I could do that!!

  • i have nothing against western riding but can we imagine this guy riding dressage! He probably be one of the best dressage rider that australia could have, his understanding and soft approach to riding and understanding of the horse is amazing, i have always stayed away from western style riding, till i saw his demo, he changed my mind completely.

  • @MrThanakornscorpion

I saw an episode once where he was jumping on a big huge hunter/jumper horse. It was pretty awesome and kinda funny!

  • @MrThanakornscorpion I was at Clinton Anderson's clinic yesterday and when he asked someone in the audience if they rode English or Western, and they said western he said, quote, "Thank God"

  • love that horse - nice stocky QH :)

    clinton anderson is good

  • man.i wish i couldridelike that

  • 3:25

  • Dude that so amazing!! im going down to australia in a couple of weeks....haha i should hunt him down and have him give me some tips about my new horse that is very spooky hahaa..also does he pretend to hold reins for balance....cause i know when i drop the reins and i put my hands somewhere else...i feel all off balanced and stuff. haha :)

  • @00horsecrazy00 haa, no, he is doing it because his horse needs to feel that Clinton is with him all the way. the horse can't see behind him and needs to go it by feeling Clinton move and the way he sits etc. body position and movement is so vitally important when you are riding bridleless . :)

  • @jumperlover100 yah thats what i mean....if he just puts his hands some where else then the balance is all off.....

  • @00horsecrazy00 actually he's not in Australia anymore. He moved to the United States. Texas to be specific.

  • i likehim but not his ways i break horses a different way

  • Clinton Anderson rocks!

  • The Parelli method is what I use and it's all in teaching love leadership and language body language that is threw feel. This is why Clint and his horse feel for each other. You never need any thing else : )

  • That is awsome!! I wish I could get my horse to do that!! We do the Down Under Horsemanship, but we haven't gotten that for!! Some Day!!

  • I LOVE Clinton Anderson!!!!!!

he's amazing I watch him all

    the time on RFD(:

  • @SarahLuvsYu93 me 2! lol

  • Clinton is simply Amazing!! I just saw one of his tours this weekend! Only he has the talent it takes to do what he does! Keep up the GREAT work Clinton!!!

  • @horseylover2010

Can't teach flexion - you mean lateral flexion? Sorry that's simply not right - have done it and I'm no expert,

  • very impressive

  • The angels sing when this man rides!

  • @MozelleP2V

    AGREED!!!!

  • I know this is completely random, and I probably shouldn't have come back to this, but I am rather confused to why some people believe true bridleless riding is when a horse is started without bit work. How does that work? All horses are started with a bit, preferably a snaffle. If you think starting without a bit and headstall will make an amazing horse, good luck trying to teach it to flex laterally, break at the poll, stop and, well, basically everything.

  • @xEquineLuverx Dr cook bitless, can do all that, no problem.

  • @akitaakita2

    Who?

  • @xEquineLuverx This has been proven wrong time after time after time. Parelli for example won't allow his students to use a bit until they have the skills to do so. All of this can be taught by working on the ground, and then using a rope halter hackamore (and the Dr Cook bitless bridle)

  • Comment removed

  • @seemorerocks well see. A horse can lean on a bosal, a hackamore, or even a halter. and many hackamores can be more severe then any bit when used incorrectly. It seems more 'humane' or whatever to use bitless bridles, but really you can rip on a horses nose with a rope halter just as easily as you could with a simple snaffle bit

  • @RachandJacks09 Not really sure what you are trying to say. Of course a horse can lean on the bit or hackamore etc. That's what training - esp. of the type Clinton Anderson, Parelli etc are doing - pressure and release, responding to the try. Quite frankly, bits cause pain and damage to the horses mouth: if it gets to the stage where a rope halter is causing damage then all I can say is that that person shouldn't be on the back of a horse.

  • @seemorerocks you see the thing is, ive been around horses for years, and if you dont yank on there mouths, a bit is just fine, and for some horses its a requirement, like my mothers 23 year old barn sour mare, shes almost pitched herself and my mother into a very large ditch, wich would probably result in broken bones or worse. Bits can be nessecary, and can be humane if used properly

  • @Scarshadow1 You should try the method with your moms barn sour maer. It will help her and her mare :)

  • Yes, I can understand you need to have started a horse with some form of headcollar. You seemed, however to be saying that all horses are started with a bit - if that was your point I disagree.

  • I honestly dont know why I worded that comment the way I did. What I meant was, bits r not required but generally r used. & ur right, hackamores/bosels also work when starting a horse, but thats not my point. There were some comments below stating true bridleless is when a horse has absolutely no bit or headstall work. But how does that work? How is it possible to TEACH a horse to flex & get underneath itself when u dont have access to reins? Id say thats impossible to do.

  • @xEquineLuverx Through your body. When Clint wants Diez to turn, speed up, or slow down, he shifts his weight around. He MOVES. The horse responds by shifting himself in order to stay balanced.

You can't see everything watching this video just once. Watch it repeatedly and you'll see things. Like Diez's ears flicking back and forth, and how he speeds up and bobs when he changes leads, and more.

  • @JessicaIsMM

I'm not sure where your coming from, but that's basically what I've been saying all this time. That is how reining horses are trained-to work off the rider's body position.

  • @xEquineLuverx all horses should work off of the riders body. if it's not, you're not riding correctly.

  • @darkwolf071

That's basically what I have been saying this entire time.

  • @darkwolf071 Incorrect, not all horses understand the forces of leg pressure because they are not trained properly and need to be retrained in order to do it correctly. However some horses are born naturally responsive.

  • @xEquineLuverx Yea. True bridleless doesn't even have a halter but you can start a horse without a bit. Its how we trained my dads horse.

  • @xEquineLuverx i do that with my yearling, and shes just got a halter on.

  • @Scarshadow1

What exactly are you doing with your yearling? Riding it and attempting to do reining? If that's the case, you need some serious help.

  • I think Clinton is great. Love watching him & his horses. I don't think his horses are doing anything from force. If they were, you'd sure find out when the bridle & halter are taken off. His horses do respect him though, & are very responsive. From what I've seen, horses that are taught through force usually seem to be nervous & over-reactive.

  • i say who really cares if his horse swishes his tail as he changes leads. its very common!!! the guy's doing an amazing job and hes even bridleless! and yeah i know, some will reply with"i can do reining bridleless!" well good for you...

  • @zipgurl057 i agree! my horse swiches his tail while swiching too!

  • @horsefeathrs dont watch if you dont like. ide like to see you ride a horse without tack and not have any trouble.

  • @Scarshadow1 Im not saying what he was doing was good or bad....Im saying what actually happened. I just think its kind of a funny fact about the video. He was training his horse....I wasn't condoning or condemning. Dont get your panties all up in a wad.

  • @horsefeathrs sorry, i was having a bad bad day yesterday. I understand now. Uh nuh, i has duh stupidz XD

  • @Scarshadow1 Its all good :) I have my own opinions about Clinton but he can do some amazing stuff with a pony

  • GOTTA SAY AMAZING JOB CLINT!! XX

  • I've been to like, three of his clinics. I really like what he does, but I don't agree with some of the things he does. I like taking bits and pieces from each person. I find that some horses cannot be taught with just one technique. I'm sure most of you have seen the ground work he does with Mindy, and i've actually been working with a two year old and doing that. He doesn't go sideways as well as Mindy, but he can do some of the other stuff with just a halter really well! :)

  • @jayjaymar17 I agree with you, I hate people that are like so close minded and fall in love with one horse guy. Clinton is an amazing rider, and he is a million times better then me, but idk, his horse seems to do things more from force then feel, notice how it swishes it's tail on the changes? I like Brent Graef and Joe Wolter, you should look them up

  • I will definitely look them up. I love learning new techniques all the time, and especially with spring coming up it will be helpful for the colts I have on the way. Thanks! And yes, I think swishing the tail is more of an irritation, though. At least, that's how it seems to me. I've known a bunch of horses to do that when the rider has big spurs and they don't like it. Horses are different though, of course.

  • spurs arent there to hurt they are there to guide...

  • the swishing of the tail means they are listening or enjoying.. lol, my cutting mare swishes her tail everytime i spin her.

  • Hmm, really? Weird.. Because here are sights that say otherwise, agreeing with me. (Posted below, too long to put in one) But, like I said.. Every horse is different. Also, I never said spurs were meant to hurt, so I don't know where you're going with that. Some horses just do not like them. They get irritated. I use them for side passing, spinning, etc. It's much easier for those horses who have been taught to be "dead" in the sides.
