How to Treat a Sunburn [DermTV.com Episode #39]

What should you do if you still have a sunburn after nearly 3 months? I got burned (severe 1st degree after abt. 10 minutes of sun) in mid August and STILL am red after having peeled. Yes it is the same burn, the original lines are still hard & visible, help :(

ugh i learned the hard way. i went to water world with my freinds and i didint wear any sun screan. now im lobster red and it hurts so much... now going on day 3 with the burn....

Okay so i got sunburnt on saturday it is currently monday morning and basicallyi gota seconddegree burn andhave blistersat first i had noidea what they were and touched one it kinda poped and itook theskin off andit hurt sobad so idid some researchand it saiddont rip the skinoff or anything soi didnt butsomethings i saw said to pop them and get the puss out so on one i popped it and the puss kept coming back i put a bandaid onand slept withit next morning took it off bliser ripped offso muchpain

You can't get sunburnt through glass. It filters out all UVB rays.

You'll still get skin cancer but you won't burn.

Why do people have trouble with this concept?

i got a bad sunburn on sunday & now its wednesday. I got a 2nd degree burn on my nose. It was not that severve considering 2 or 3 years ago i got one on my shoulder that was much worse. I was wondering, my skin is a reddish pink and ive been wearing a moist gel - like bandage on it for a day and that seems to improve it, how long will it take for it to go bakc to normal?willl it scar?

I disagree with your advice about your car windows as being somehow UV reflective. Perhaps maybe some of the car with tinted windows, but seriously, clear glass windows will not protect you. I got a sunburn working by my office window! So yeah, you can get burnt through window.

@barelylegalpigeons Normal un-tinted window glass screens UVB radiation which causes sunburn. It does not filter out UVA light which can cause your skin to turn red if you are taking certain medications or have certain medical diseases.
