i dont care what anyone says . this is the most realistic ryu ever looked hes not overly buff like in most of the art he looks like hes perfectly shaped. i mean look at how he stares back at you in the darkness like a wolf. id be shitting my pants comming across this motherfucker. this sis buy far THEE GREATEST street fighter intro ever made. to the damn pointe and effective. the new entros are like boreing SSF4s intro is cool but winded. this intro here rules bring it back.

My dad made a surprise to me on 1995's Christmas Eve. I turned on the TV and I saw that very same animation instead of the program I was expecting. He bought me both a SNES and Super Street Fighter II, and let the SNES run plugged to the TV until I turned it on to discover it. I think I will remember this on my deathbed...

Man I was about 9 or 10 when I first saw this and I remember I actually had tears down my face. Street Fighter was a PHENOMENON that blew kids like me away and Super was just like a director's cut of Street Fighter.....and seeing this was truly amazing!!

I am a huge fan of SSF2 since it became popular in 1993. The live action Van Damme/Julia film really sucked, but I've heard good reviews about the animated version. I haven't seen the animated but to anyone who has, is it any good? Your suggestions are appreciated.

As a kid I would play Street Fighter II on the Amiga every day, and when I found myself in front of the arcade for this game I remember I was completely devastated. I remember my heart pounding like crazy.. I wish I could still get so excited about something as I did then.

Totally agree, this intro is simple but contundent, and however very well developed (try to animate this bouncing-arms ryu so well with pixel-based sprites in the nineties, and still is so expressive!).

The other intro (SSF2turbo) actually spoiled this one, but Akuma is a cool char that could be even more interesting (not another edit of ryu)
